He was in charged and was in jail awaiting trial until his death and Maxwell was in charged and in prison for her role in it. The release of the files was something Trump and others in the MAGAverse brought up and insisted on until Trump changed his mind.

Why do you think "getting it out there" will let justice do it's thing? It's the bloody DOJ that has the information and apparently across Trump 1 Biden and Trump 2 they have decided that there is no basis for additional charges. You really think that Bondi will release the information and then be pressured into laying charges? I suspect the reason it has never been released is because to do so would be inappropriate if there is not enough evidence to indict someone. All it does is smear people who may not be guilty of criminal behaviour and that includes Trump.

That's not something that typically done without some outside pressure to do so. The MAGAverse was not actively pushing the Biden administration to release anything until some of their base raised this. This started when Bondi announced she had the files and was going to release them. From the government's perspective, releasing them without charging anyone doesn't mete out "justice". If done irresponsibly, it could malign people who may have done nothing wrong and were only acquaintances of Epstein.

That's not how it should work. Lots of people's names get caught up in investigations. It isn't up to the public to decided if charges should be laid or not. Think of where that could go. It's up to the justice system. Now if you don't believe in your justice system that’s a totally different, way more important, issue but prosecution by public opinion is wrong.
