ABC Pulls ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ Indefinitely After Host’s Charlie Kirk Comments

Lmao what a benign comment to be fired for:

It’s not about CK, it’s about how MAGA responded.

Republicans hate free speech and love cancel culture. Surprise.
I agree. The comment was wrong and stupid but his bosses clearly overreacted.

Hadn't watched a monologue from Kimmel since forever. Its just political. He wasn't even trying to be funny. I don't know if late night is dead or not but he is certainly not the way. He and Colbert can go start a podcast about that meanie Trump.

He's no Greg Gutfield.

Remember when that MAGA nutter killed the Democrat politicians and MAGA immediately jumped into false flag CTs about that. Didn't hear any of you calling for folk to get fired then.
Can you offer examples of any Republican TV personalities making comments disparaging or making false claims?

I have no empathy for Mr. Kimmel on this. My guess, as already posted, is that his ratings have been dropping and the company didn’t want to tick off the remaining viewers.

To be fair, he didn't have very long, anyway. But his comments, calling Kirk's killer Maga was beyond the pale. Non-jokingly passing on a false conspiracy theory. ABC having a bad week. Just dumb. Good riddance.

No, in America what is "beyond the pale" is government bullying and threatening the media to censor opinions that are not favorable to the current regime and its supporters.

Real Americans know that feigned histrionics to shut down others is mere thuggery, and when done by the government it is the essence of state oppression.

This pattern isn't new, but its getting much worse.

Should have dumped him when he cried on air after Trump won, tbh. They should have seen that he was unstable. Also, I didn't see if he apologized for pushing a false conspiracy theory? Did he ever do that?

Probably the biggest Republican TV personality of them all, the president, has disparaging and false claims set on a default mode.

Was he calling Kirk's killer MAGA? Here's the quote:

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them,” Kimmel said.

He's saying that MAGA is taking advantage of the situation by pointing fingers at their political opponents, even though there is no clear evidence of this and it remains a possibility that Kirk's killer was not liberal, transgender, left leaning or a Democrat, but maybe a conservative, cisgender, right learning, Republican or Trump supporter just like them.

Congrats to Jimmy Fallon. Last one standing. Don't say anything stupid Jimmy.

I hope he and Ariana eventually get together. They make a cute couple.
