ABC NIGHTLINE pushing the gun issue [W:194]

talking about gun violence in Chicago. they are interviewing a little AA boy whose grandmother was killed by a gang banger who shot her by accident. another is a white boy whose brother was killed. 100,000 gang members in Chicago.

there is a gang meeting at a Catholic church.

I wonder if the fact that chicago has had draconian gun bans will be mentioned
 

Hell, thanks to you, I found that the entire state of Illinois has draconian gun laws. I'm sick of hearing that more restrictions on hand guns will cut down on violence. You couldn't even own a gun legally in the City of Chicago until two years or so ago. The inner-city is a shooting gallery. Yeah, like laws against guns are going to stop that...
 
I think Illinois is the only state in the nation that doesn't have any carry permits available Rock River Arms is in Illinois as is a big distributor of AR 15 parts (M&A PARTS-endorsed by Turtle!) and the owner of M&A comes to shows in Ohio and she is always looking for some place out of Illinois to move

one of the gang banger kids was saying she thought guns were banned in chicago (close) yet everyone she knew was packing heat
 
yeah now we have some person demanding all guns be removed, some gang banger says there are guns "under bushes"
 
interestingly enough there was no mention of some idiot's proposal to tax cook county dealers for ammo and guns (of course only people with a valid FOID can shop there). those in other counties will be benefiting from such crap

They'll probably blame other states for not wiping **** out their ass with the constitution like Illinois does.
 


We agree on something Gun restrictions have no bearing on crime in my opinion, especially gang crime. What we call gangs today are really organized crime very similar to the Mafia and the black hand. They will always have guns regardless of law

why do democratic politicians such as that moron in chicago/cook county who wants to tax bullets with a "violence tax" keep claiming it will?

Exactly. It's the same old struggle between liberty and power. Eliminating guns decreases liberty and puts more power in the hands of the government.

ABC is doing its job. The gun lobby and gun culture have been so amazingly successful at stopping any real national discussion before it even gets a chance to begin over the last decade that a single story like this causes them to go into cardiac arrest. If it were not so sad it might be considered funny with their over reaction at very little.
 


Let me get this straight a news organization doing a story gun violence in order to **** on the second amendment is doing its job, but a pro-2nd amendment group trying to prevent people from ****ting on the 2nd amendment is just the gun lobby and gun culture having a cardiac arrest?

we realize your beloved Dem party wants to punish pro gun groups for supporting mainly GOP candidates but your democrat masters are too worried about losing union votes etc.

People like you are hostile to gun owners mainly for reasons having nothing to do with guns. TOo bad the Demosocialists started a war against our rights in order to stave off the attacks by people like nixon who claimed bleeding heart democrats were soft on urban violence and black criminals.

Did I miss the part where you or anybody else provided ample evidence that this was anything but a normal news story?

The gun lobby and their toadies are amazingly sensitive to the slightest appearance of anything which might bring this up on the national radar. And that tells you why they have won this issue so decisively.
