So Abbott returns from his Asian 'holiday' and starts asking tough questions? Must have forgotten to take his phone on his trip I guess! ;) Texas's ongoing problems with it's electricity network are obviously a result of it's govts policies. If Abbott wants to really fix things, maybe he should start there,

He really needs to stand up for Texans. We are tired of dealing with rolling power outages and feel paralyzed by the whole thing. After three years of this it just feels like an entire tree fell on us.

After two weeks Abbott finally rolls back to Texas, and throws blame for the power.

Like where the **** was he?

Sorry, Texas, but you 1000% own the disaster in Houston. You vote for these imbeciles. You vote for power deregulation policies that basically lets the energy utility companies skate - their CEOs collect millions in salary while you get no power and suffer in either extreme cold or heat. And oh yeah, you reject the laws of physics, too.

Sorry, not only harsh but NOT true. Those of us "thinking" hillbillies in TX have never voted for Abbott and won't the next time around. He is an absolute scumbag.

Houston is a blue city, so I'm sure many there have not voted for him either. Maybe we should storm the Capital building in Austin to get him out of office or just leave the state to send a message. Yes, there are idiots in TX that continue to vote for him, but most are not in this forum anyway. So, exactly how do those of us in Blue cities in TX "own the disaster in Houston"? Houston certainly doesn't.

Is Houston more Democratic or Republican?

Houston has voted Democratic for more than a decade and is currently liberal leaning, despite being historically conservative. Currently, the majority of Houston elected officials are Democrats, and the city's mayors have been Democrats for over 40 years.

Houston had the first lesbian mayor of a major metropolis.

A person who demands answers from themselves is not well.
