I am about to turn 50 and the liberal organization AARP sent me an application to join. AARP has endorsed the Houses socialist healthcare plan and the current liberal administration effectivly alienating half of the population of this country. So I sent them a letter explaining why I would never join their liberal organization even if I will dave money by doing so. I also asked them to never send me anything in the mail again. I concluded with Thankyou, now kindly go to hell you liberal pieces of ****.

I hope their membership falls to unsustainable levels.

I don't really have a problem with their politics (okay, I'll be honest, I have no idea what their politics are, so it's hard to have a problem with them). I get annoyed that I keep getting membership requests in the mail. I'm 25.

Before AARP, the elderly population had a considerably higher level of poverty. They have done some good work.

Initially, I think AARP was a good thing. A good lobby. But these days, it's just a vehicle to sell insurance. I didn't renew my membership.

Like all good things, they can become corrupted by their own power and wealth.
