I was shocked to see what appeared to be a rational view being expressed by the OP. Then of course I progressed to the 4th sentence, which was a reversion to the usual "evil left is the enemy" BS.I feel so sad for the father who turned his own son in. I can't imagine how someone can live with that. The question of this thread is how a young kid like that was radicalized and how we can prevent it, or even if we can.
But ignoring that load of shit for now, it's important to get back to his question of how indeed did the shooter become radicalized? He did by visiting 4chan, and sick game sites, and other even more toxic interactions on the internet, probably while no one in his family had the power to intervene. Until our society puts the mental health of its children on a higher level of priority, and parents recognize that 5 year olds do not need cell phones or internet access, and that their pre-teen knows more about using electronic devices than they will ever imagine, it's going to get worse. Lonely kids are easy prey for very sick forces online.
