A thirty ounce can of ground coffee, I was paying $15 two weeks ago, same coffee today $20. The countries trump is tariffing must be making a fortune

Trump would argue workers are more important than consumers, and if you can't afford $20 then you shouldn't be drinking coffee.

Sound familiar?

I'm about to go to the store. Normally I pay $16.99 for a can of coffee (Folgers dark.) Will see what it is today.

We cut ours with chicory. An old trick from the Hoover Era.

Just went grocery shopping this am. Coffee prices among other items are up. It will be sadly interesting to see what happens to a lot more products as the tariffs kick in.

Not sure how this all is making American Great again and reducing the cost of living.

It's a lot easier to just convince the same people complaining about high prices before to just accept the price hikes as being good for the US.

It sounds like something idiotic trump supporters would say. It's trump fault but suddenly the high prices of everything under Biden are now even higher under trump and this is all republicans can offer in return, snipe stupid responses?

Trump is tariffing countries that the US has a trade deficit with. Brazil, where much of US coffee comes from has been carrying a trade deficit with the US, not the other way around. (I realize that Trump is trying to bolster his coup buddy Bolsonaro.)

Funny, it could be.

I for one am not buying into Trump's statements.
- Food prices are going up
- Looks like my electric bill is going to go up again because the commission is approving a rate hike for the electric company.
What happened to cutting energy bills in half within 12-18 months.
- Gas prices have come down a bit but are still over $3.25/gal

I am concerned for those who cannot really absorb the prices increases.

Almost all of the southeastern states are red and poor and let's not forget West Virginia. I don't know how these poor folks are going to ignore what trump is doing to them with all of his cuts to give folks like himself more.

Is this what's called voting for their best interests?

Putting tariffs on coffee makes no sense from a trade perspective but given the amount of coffee Americans drink it sure gets those tax dollars up!

imo, Trump sums it up. He got elected because of the "Brand". He sold his brand to many people.
