I sure wouldn't mind seeing a stray missle, be it Iranian or Israeli, accidentally hit the Temple Mount and blow away the Dome of the Rock and other Islamic sites there. If that were to take place, then I would be willing to say we are certainly at the door for Satan's man to be introduced, the anti-christ, for it is he who allows the Jews to rebuild the Temple. (Daniel 9:26-27) And the Dome of the Rock is in the way. Just have to wait and see.

Concerning the war with Gog and Magog, (Ezekiel 38), it is a war where only God Himself destroys Gog and Magog. Concerning Armageddon, it is a war where Jesus Christ alone destroys all the enemies of God. (Is. 63:4-5)

But, through out history man has been involved in God's warfare. (Josh 1:5-6) Israel took the land through much warfare. So, as I said, I don't know what exactly you are trying to say.

Jesus said "Destroy this temple, and I will rebuild it in three days." The Sanhedrin destroyed the Temple because it was no longer a holy place, having been used to defy and condemn the King of Israel. The Romans did not destroy anything sacred, by Christian standards at least; nor did the Muslims; nor can any work with brick and mortar and bomb undo what has been done.

I understand the iconoclastic urge to get one over on Islamic beliefs, when it doesn't feel like there is any way that anyone could believe its founder was a holy man -- but the impulse to defile their artworks and dismiss their attempts to find meaning in the traditions they have to work with is beneath you. It works against the moral distinction you would hope to make between your beliefs and theirs.

No, that happens all the time, but you left out cold spells.

But, if the way were made for Israel to rebuild the Temple, such as removing the Dome of the Rock, that would signal something.

Met, you appear to live in Denial.

Lee may be right, the Dome of the Rock may become Dome of the Parking Lot.

It would be particularly unfortunate timing for them to do that, and drive out all the Palestinians from East Jerusalem, just as Iran obtains nuclear weapons.

from my studies, the Temple does NOT have to be built on the dome of the rock. it actually was not located there because there was no water supply back in the day. however the Traditional view sees this different and insist the Temple be built on the dome of the rock.

maybe the Temple Organization behind the rebuild has revealed this and we can look see.

and i may check up on that.

The Temple Institute is an organization in Jerusalem dedicated to preparing for the construction of the Third Temple on the Temple Mount, the same site currently occupied by the Dome of the Rock. The Institute has invested decades in research, creating ritual objects, priestly garments, and even detailed architectural plans for the Temple's reconstruction
  • The Temple Institute’s long-term aim is to build the Third Temple on the Temple Mount, which is the traditional location of the First and Second Temples and is now the site of the Dome of the Rock
  • The Institute has prepared blueprints and ritual items, and its leadership openly aspires to replace the Dome of the Rock with the Jewish Temple
  • According to the Institute’s own FAQ, the Temple Mount would have to be "cleared of the Dome of the Rock and the mosques which are presently located upon it before the physical rebuilding" of the Temple could occur

It's fitting in the ultimate ironic way that the end of the world is brought about by the self-fulfilling prophesies of religious nutters.

That world probably needs to end anyway. Hopefully they don't take all the good parts with them.

You plainly see the future just not convinced that any of you know even the approximate year. Today has enough trouble of its own. Give us your closest time frame…..:)

we don't need to know the year; all we need to know are the Signs of the End Times.

nothing else.

Today has enough trouble of its own. Give us your closest time frame…..:)

how about a List of Signs to look for ? that would be better than guessing the time frame.

The Bible provides several signs that are commonly interpreted as indicators of the "End Times." These are primarily drawn from the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels (especially Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21), as well as other New Testament writings such as 2 Thessalonians and Revelation. Here are the main signs to look for, according to Scripture:

  • The rise of false prophets and individuals claiming to be Christ is a prominent sign. Jesus warned, "For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many" (Matthew 24:5)

  • Jesus predicted an increase in wars and threats of war: "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars... Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom" (Matthew 24:6-7)

  • The Bible describes widespread famine, earthquakes, and other natural disasters as signs: "There will be famines and earthquakes in various places" (Matthew 24:7; Luke 21:11)

  • Outbreaks of disease and pestilence are also mentioned as part of the end times (Luke 21:11)

  • Increased persecution and hatred of Christians: "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake" (Matthew 24:9)

  • The Bible warns of a falling away from faith and an increase in wickedness: "Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold" (Matthew 24:12; 2 Thessalonians 2:3)

  • A rise in lawlessness and moral decay is noted as a sign (Matthew 24:12)

  • Jesus said the gospel would be preached to all nations before the end comes (Matthew 24:14)
Jesus emphasized that no one knows the day or hour of His return—not even the angels (Matthew 24:36) : Many of these signs—wars, disasters, persecution—have occurred throughout history. The Bible describes them as "birth pains" that increase in frequency and intensity as the end approaches : The signs are not meant for date-setting, but to encourage vigilance, faithfulness, and hope among believers
