The Koran also says Jesus Christ will return to fight the Anti-christ and Christians will realize Islam is the true religion.
Return of Jesus
no it doesn't mention such a thing
So those are not quotes from the Koran? [at the link)
Obvious bait thread is obvious.
There is no real reason for a believer of Christianity to argue that their faith is not true. Why would one follow any faith under the consideration that it is not the true religion?
in the original QORAN there isnt anything referring to jesus in that verse and there is nothing placed in the parantheses.these verses are connected with each other .dont believe in everything you read on the internet please.in the previous verse God says Christ is just his prophet .in another one he says Christ wasnt crucified and another guy who looked like him was killed.translators always change the meaning of Qoran.I read this book believe me . there are some words placed in parantheses in its translations but there is no parantheses in the original one
I'll take your word for it. [with some skepticism]
I know this book better than any of you,no need for any skepticism
I am not a fan of any organized religion. I heard/read/saw somewhere the other day something that summed up the way I feel exactly. The quote was "religion is a divider. Spirituality is a uniter." And it made me think - religion is a divider. How many different religions are there? Tons.
I follow the teachings of Christ, but don't belong to a church. I haven't been to a church in probably 20 years. I live my life, and try to raise my family, in the ways that we are supposed to live according to the Bible.
But I would never say one religion is right, or another is wrong. Who am I to say? I'm nobody. I'm not God. I'm not St. Peter, standing at the Pearly Gates. I don't know who will make it and who won't. I just live my life and teach my kids in the best way possible. That's the best that anybody can do, in my opinion.
I'm sure there are those who interpret it in different ways just as other readers of holy books tend to do.
i am not interpreting it ,just posting the original book doesnt have any paranthese
ok....
ok

The Poll is calling for Christians to vote. If you are Christian, you are not going to believe that there is "no true religion". If you are Christian, you accept Christ as the Savior, who singularly reconciled a perfect God to a sinful man. One of the fundamental precepts of Christianity is the notion that no one can come to the father except through Christ...
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).

That said, Christianity is the belief that Christ is the Messiah that God promised to his people, the Jews. Christianity is an extension of Judaism. Christians (Gentiles) have been grafted onto the vine
"...But some of these branches from Abraham's tree--some of the people of Israel--have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God's special olive tree..." (From Romans 11: 17 NLT)...
Therefore, Judaism is a part of the Truth...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graftingone plant is selected for its roots and this is called the stock or rootstock. The other plant is selected for its stems, leaves, flowers, or fruits and is called the scion or cion. The scion contains the desired genes to be duplicated in future production by the stock/scion plant.]
Today in Christianity there are those who deny the root in which they were grafted to.Successful grafting only requires that a vascular connection take place between the grafted tissues. Joints formed by grafting are not as strong as naturally formed joints, so a physical weak point often still occurs at the graft because only the newly formed tissues inosculate with each other. The existing structural tissue (or wood) of the stock plant does not fuse.
Are there versons of the Koran with built-in study guides similar to NIV Quest study bible? [http://www.zondervan.com/niv-quest-study-bible-1]
The Bible outlines how one should live their lives. It ain't easy but, the guidance is there.
Seems to me that those who do follow the teachings of Jesus are quite at odds with far too many self-professed Christians these days.
Since it was Paul who was most influential in creating the religion of Christianity, and Paul never even met Jesus, the religion of Christianity has something of a disconnect from Jesus hard-wired into it from the get go. Most people accept the dogma of Paul's epiphany on the road to Damascus. I see him as an opportunist who saw an opportunity to hijack a leadership role among those he had been persecuting in order to stamp his own message on the movement. He co-opted it instead of battling it.
For all intents and purposes, the religion as practiced by the more intolerant Christians should be called Paulianity.
The Bible is also extremely subjective and should not always be taken at face value.

Right. And Homer didn't really write the Illiad, it was actually another guy who was also named Homer.
