Ignoring all of the work that would go into maintaining the ark and feeding the animals, particularly the carnivores (let's just say that God put them in sleep mode for the entire duration), when the waters receded and everybody got out of the ark, how did the animals go to where they are today? The ark landed at the land of ararat which is roughly turkey. How did gorillas cross the sinai peninsula and sahara desert to get to the congo rainforest? How did the jungle animals of the amazon survive the inhospitable colds of siberia, alaska, and canada and the sonoran desert? And more importantly, how did the kangaroos get to Australia? Can they hop on water?
This isn't an attack on religion, this is a legitimate question. If you don't believe that there was a worldwide flood, don't say "cuz god doesn't exist" this question is for those who do.
If one believes in an omnipotent Creator God, one would assume minor details like that would be child's play for the Omnipotent.

Those that do believe can't answer you because the introspection would tear their faith apart.

true but that kind of god would not need to drown the planet either
If he wanted to cleanse the earth then he would.
odd slow needlessly destructive way to go about doing it and its odd that it would create somtng that needed to be cleansed in the 1st place
its very strange that it would do so
but its impossible that it would need to do so
Not if you understand the bible. it makes perfect sense.
if that god is not omnipotent then sure
who says he wasn't omnipotent? it isn't like it caught him by surprise.

thats worcks agisnt the story though
an all powerful god would see any corruption coming before it happened and oculd fix it in any way prevent it at any time or undo it or simply build in such a way as it can't happen
drowning a bunch of peole plants and critters makes no sense
and it would never have to come to that becase such a god always has options

Why
A being, for lack of a better word, who has no beginning and no end, who just is and always will be; Who created all that there is in the universe including time and space; Who spoke everything into existence and knows all... and you think that pondering how a kangaroo made it's way to Australia is going to shatter that belief?
Maybe for you, whose faith already seems to be shattered, but not for me.
Quite frankly, I don't care how the Kangaroo made it's way to Australia. God chose not to tell us. If he can make the animals come to Noah, then I'm sure he can disperse them.
Not if you understand the bible. it makes perfect sense.
The best part is where this god gave everyone free will and then killed them all down to just one family for not acting the way he wanted.
Where did He ever say free will had no punishment or consequence. something that people forget often. there are consequences to actions good, bad or fatal.
But then, for such a being, who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, the entire Christ story and sacrifice would be utterly unnecessary.
