Ignoring all of the work that would go into maintaining the ark and feeding the animals, particularly the carnivores (let's just say that God put them in sleep mode for the entire duration), when the waters receded and everybody got out of the ark, how did the animals go to where they are today? The ark landed at the land of ararat which is roughly turkey. How did gorillas cross the sinai peninsula and sahara desert to get to the congo rainforest? How did the jungle animals of the amazon survive the inhospitable colds of siberia, alaska, and canada and the sonoran desert? And more importantly, how did the kangaroos get to Australia? Can they hop on water?

This isn't an attack on religion, this is a legitimate question. If you don't believe that there was a worldwide flood, don't say "cuz god doesn't exist" this question is for those who do.

How did they get to the Ark from these various places?

Re: A question for Christians, mmuslims, jews, and other people who believe in Genesi

How did we get to the other continents?

If one believes in an omnipotent Creator God, one would assume minor details like that would be child's play for the Omnipotent.

One would.

Then why wasn't such mentioned by the bible which mentions plenty of minor details; such as moses being perfectly healthy before dropping dead after viewing the promise land, the reason for a rainbow being that God will never flood the earth again, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego didn't even smell like smoke when the came out of the fire or that Rahab, the woman from Jerico who hid the Israelite spies was a prostitute.

Also keep in mind that only 2 of each animal would result in defects caused by inbreeding.

It's a myth. Much of the book of Genesis is mythology, and the flood is a myth that appears in many cultures, so there was definitely something to it but if you want the story as told in the Old Testament to be proven as literal truth you need to give your head a shake. Anyone with a bit more sophistication than an elementary school child would know that the story of the flood, like the creation myth and the Garden of Eden, isn't to be taken literally.
The people who maintain those myths as literal truth and the people who think that refuting those myths disproves Christianity are intellectual equals. They will bicker but neither group knows anything about God.

Those that do believe can't answer you because the introspection would tear their faith apart.

It looks like a three mile wide comet struck the Indian Ocean around 2807 B.C. After the tidal wave that wiped out the emerging coastal civilizations, torrential rain and possible heating of the atmosphere everybody wished they had had one ark so they all made up stories about one ark that they handed down by will of the Supreme Lord.

The fact of the matter is that comet strikes on planets with humans on them has to be pretty common across the universe and one of the Lord's pastimes is to warn somebody and have them build an ark so there is nothing wrong with Scripture.

Even the story of Adam and Eve you can find on down into antiquity. Satan tempts Eve and the world falls from paradise to the world you now see that is eventually eaten up by causal worms until the universe and it's material coverings look like thin Swiss cheese. Then by grace of the Supreme Lord they use their energy to make it back to Paradise as the serpent that tempts Eve and the cycle repeats.

If eve is not tempted then those two lay the foundations of history but the Serpent has many tricks and does not give up easily so by this time eve gave no resistance.

Sometimes the Lord plants a garden and places a couple as proxy for the humanity evolving or surviving elsewhere on the planet.

Powerful serpents can turn your garden to desert and you have to starve or eat the forbidden fruit.

Why

A being, for lack of a better word, who has no beginning and no end, who just is and always will be; Who created all that there is in the universe including time and space; Who spoke everything into existence and knows all... and you think that pondering how a kangaroo made it's way to Australia is going to shatter that belief?

Maybe for you, whose faith already seems to be shattered, but not for me.

Quite frankly, I don't care how the Kangaroo made it's way to Australia. God chose not to tell us. If he can make the animals come to Noah, then I'm sure he can disperse them.

true but that kind of god would not need to drown the planet either

If he wanted to cleanse the earth then he would.

odd slow needlessly destructive way to go about doing it and its odd that it would create somtng that needed to be cleansed in the 1st place

its very strange that it would do so

but its impossible that it would need to do so

Not if you understand the bible. it makes perfect sense.

if that god is not omnipotent then sure

who says he wasn't omnipotent? it isn't like it caught him by surprise.

thats worcks agisnt the story though

an all powerful god would see any corruption coming before it happened and oculd fix it in any way prevent it at any time or undo it or simply build in such a way as it can't happen

drowning a bunch of peole plants and critters makes no sense

and it would never have to come to that becase such a god always has options

Re: A question for Christians, mmuslims, jews, and other people who believe in Genesi

There's plenty of evidence of a massive flood. If it's helpful, consider that the ark is a metaphor chosen to demonstrate that there was a safe haven or perhaps havens which allowed life to continue. When you get yourself all wrapped up in the "how" of something, you are relying on your own knowledge and understanding. If you believe that to be sufficient, then why ask the question to start with?

Strange only if you see the Creator solely through the human prism.

That would be like saying an engineer should be able to build a device that is immune to the law of entropy.

Evil exists. We have the ability to choose.

If you take your statements to their logical end, then the question becomes, why did God decide to create at all, and that is a question no one can answer.

Well the question for me is moot since I don't believe there WAS a world wide flood though I think there was massive flooding in the most populated areas of the world at that time. And I think those who experienced it, not being privy to satellite imaging or any other way to see beyond that part of the world they inhabited, would think that the whole world was flooded. To support that theory is the fact that every ancient culture of those times had a flood story.

So Noah, assuming he lived and was not an allegorical explanation, would only have needed to gather up those critters in his own limited world. And he would have gathered only those he knew existed. So the story would have been true in his eyes, but inaccurate due to how much he didn't know to be true.

But then, for such a being, who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, the entire Christ story and sacrifice would be utterly unnecessary.

The best part is where this god gave everyone free will and then killed them all down to just one family for not acting the way he wanted.

Where did He ever say free will had no punishment or consequence. something that people forget often. there are consequences to actions good, bad or fatal.

What does it matter? It shows this being, this god, to be a petulant little sociopath. There is simply no need for any punishment. It could have just said, "I forgive you" and had done with it.

And so would creation itself, yet, here we are.

I don't pretend to know God's motivations and neither do you.
