A Question about Christ [W 77, 186] (1 Viewer)

Of course He's "divine." He's the Son of God ....

Exactly...divine simply means "of, from or like God", which Jesus is...but he is not the Almighty God...John 1:2 says," This one was in the beginning with God.”...meaning ince Jehovah is eternal and had no beginning...Psalm 90:2; Rev. 15:3...the Word’s being with God from “the beginning” must here refer to the beginning of Jehovah’s creative works...this is also confirmed by other texts identifying Jesus as “the firstborn of all creation,” “the beginning of the creation by God.”...Col. 1:15; Rev. 1:1; 3:14...the Scriptures themselves identify the Word...Jesus in his prehuman existence...as God’s first creation, his firstborn Son....

Abigail Bigg's (standard Trinitarian) interpretations don't nullify Jesus statement: "This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent." John 17:3

Trinitarians do not believe scripture. They believe their pet interpretations of scripture. Which is not same as believing scripture.

Not so. The following article on that scripture does not agree with your view: https://carm.org/john-173-only-true-god

What's more, the weight of scripture clearly demonstrates that Jesus is divine:

"Scholarly author Kevin J. Conner lists 27 initial scriptural evidences demonstrating the deity of Christ:

1. Jesus existed in the beginning (John 1:1; Philip 2:6; Rev. 19:13; Micah 5:2).
2. He was with God (John 1:1).
3. He is God, the Son (John 1:1; Rom. 9:5; Heb. 1:8, 10; I John 5:20).
4. He is God manifest in the flesh (John 20:28; I Tim. 3:16; Col. 2:9; Acts 20:28; Heb. 1:8).
5. He is God foretold (Isaiah 9:6; Psalm 45:6).
6. He is Immanuel, God with us (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23).
7. He is the true God (I John 5:20 with Titus 2:13; Romans 9:5).
8. He is the great God (Titus 2:13).
9. He is God our Savior (II Peter 1:1).
10. He existed in the form of God before His incarnation and was equal with God the Father (Philippians 2:5-7)"

Jesus is the only judge who gives life to whom he wishes and renders to each man “according” to his “deeds” (John 5:21-22; Revelation 2:18, 23). Jesus must be Jehovah.

There are out of context quotes there, and mistranslations. Isaiah 7:14 is not talking about Jesus. It is talking about Isaiah's son. Isaiah 9:6 is discussing King Hezekiah

Partially true...the scriptures have a two-fold fulfillment...as do many, which does refer to Jesus Christ in the greater sense...

I do not see it as having a 'two fold fulfillment'.

Not a chance.

"Hezekiah was 39 years old during the Assyrian invasion. Could the phrase "for unto us a child is born" apply to a 39 year old man who was the king of Judah for 14 years? It is insulting to apply this verse to a 39-year-old king! The age factor alone eliminates Hezekiah as the subject of Isaiah 9:6,7."

Isaiah 9:6,7 Cannot Be About Hezekiah

NONE of your above trumps the words coming from the mouth of Jesus declaring His Father who sent Jesus to be the ONE true God

Trinitarians created a false phony "church" that has persecuted and despised real Christians since the Roman Empire empowered the Trinitarian cult back in 380 AD.

And, what is that supposed to prove what so ever?? It makes an excuse that is totally meaningless in the context of the passage, and it is incorrect. The titles in Isaiah 9:6 are the royal titles of Hezekiah. Bringing up nonsense that has nothing to do with the passage is not relevant. Isaiah 9:6 has nothing to do with 'A child is Born'. The subject of that prophecy ending in 8:18, and it's a new subject.

Trying to explain things by misreading the passage is not honest.

Nope. You're busted, Ramoss. Again.
