LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A pregnant woman in Kentucky filed a lawsuit Friday demanding the right to an abortion, the second legal challenge in days to sweeping abortion bans that have taken hold in more than a dozen U.S. states since Roe v. Wade was overturned last year.

The suit, filed in state court in Louisville, says Kentucky’s near-total prohibition against abortion violates the plaintiff’s rights to privacy and self-determination under the state constitution.

The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, is about eight weeks pregnant and she wants to have an abortion in Kentucky but cannot legally do so because of the state’s ban, the suit said. She is seeking class-action status to include other Kentuckians who are or will become pregnant and want to have an abortion.

An example of how repugs sucking up to the evangs could jam up our court system across the states that have these bans.

Hope her child never finds out about the suit.

The unborn with almost no chance of surviving to birth...and then if it does, having only a 10% chance of surviving more than a year...with intellectual defects and unable to talk or walk? That child? IMO That child would not choose to be born.

You should read the links in the thread.

Little is known about the KY pregnancy but is true for the case in TX

Bombard them with lawsuits, again and again and again.

And hopefully, women will win their cases and drive the point home that abortion restrictions are unnecessary and just a bad idea.
State court judges are elected. I hope that those state court judges that forbid a woman's choice are soundly defeated in their next election. It's a great opportunity for others who run against them.

Hope her child never finds out about the suit.
Any semi-decent parent could explain it to any kid without making it an issue...
