Well, unless one considers the plans to attack a foreign country as not classified, then sure. If that's the case, then maybe they should have posted it on X and Instagram to troll the Houthis before the bombs come down.

now, WHY did Goldberg keep classified information ? WHY is he releasing it ? (if it was classified)

that's not legal is it? I thought liberals hated the idea of people keeping classified information they were not supposed to have ?

As usual, you failed to read the link you posted. Here is the part you missed.
A Department of Defense memo from 2023 under the Biden administration detailed that while Signal was approved for some use by government officials, they could not use the platform to "access, transmit, process non-public DoD information." CISA's guidance related to Signal was released after the Department of Defense guidance.

Sure, Goldberg is the problem. Why he's releasing it should be pretty obvious, but in case it isn't, the reason is high level members of the administration are not only using a commercial app to communicate classified information, but also were violating the warning the Pentagon issued precisely over this exact action. As if that's not bad enough, they added a reporter to the chat. Yeah, that's newsworthy.

If he's a journalist that was handed classified info and he did nothing illegal to obtain it, yes he should. Do they not teach you about freedom of the press in your troll farm in Russia?

i hate the incompetence of trump's morons.
at this point since its being investigated, he SHOULD "keep" it (but not release anything classified), and that appears to be what he is doing so its available as evidence.
is it legal for him to keep it? it could well be, since he didn't ask for it, he was given it, at least until legal authorities work with him for proper handling.

if you are mistakenly sent a $5000 check ... is it yours to keep or was it a mistake and you should return it ? you didn't "steal" the check, but its not yours and you shouldn't keep it, right ?

Republicans are attacking the messenger because that’s all that’s left. The whole lot of Republicans are dirty liars. They can’t even answer simple questions under oath truthfully. I bet the untrustworthy reporter could and back it up. I hope he releases everything if they keep insisting it’s not important information.

As for signal being best government practice for security sensitive information, why are you trying to gaslight me?
