A new twist to an old saying

First they came for the unions but I belonged to no union it did not concern me
Then they came for the manufacturing unskilled jobs but I was not an unskilled laborer it did not concern me.
Then they had budget cuts on the poor but I was not poor it did not concern me
Then they cut salaries on teachers and government workers , but I was no teacher or government worker it did not concern me

Now they are coming for me, Who am I? I am the MIDDLE CLASS.

At one time there was just the middle class today there is "upper" ,"lower" and middle class.
At one time there was just the middle class considered too poor to be rich and too rich to be poor.
Today the middle class is considered by most an endangered species.

The poor want more money from taxes but pay no taxes
The rich want more taxes paid but pay no raises or no more money.
Leaving the middle class in the MIDDLE of paying for the poor, paying for the government, and paying the rich tax cuts for paying taxes.eace
