That is true. But for every white soldier fighting to free slaves, there was another fighting to preserve slavery. (It's not a 1:1 ratio, but you get the point.)

What do YOU know from personal experience about what blacks went through. At least I can say I saw my father get beaten up by racists in Bogalusa during a voters right drive in 1957 when I was a little boy.I watched my mom get arrested in a peaceful civil rights protest in New Orleans is 1959 .
Tell everyone your experiences being black before you start telling everybody what all us black people think.
And if you are black,how about asking the rest of us black people first if it is alright if you can speak for all of us.

most of the slave rebellions in the US were small and wide spread and accomplished little or nothing to actually free any slaves. the Turner rebellion consisted of around 70 slaves, lasted for 2 days and killed women and children. The only white person Turner himself killed was a women who he beat to death with a fence post.

Actually I think we are on that path and you do have history right. Mine was a simplistic form. There are more mixed race babies being born everyday, taking traits from each race, call it a new race or the combining of races that someday will lead to basically, in concept anyway one basic race. I see more and more mixed couples everyday and they are growing. I am sure you will have pockets where one race or another survive much longer than on the whole.

I just have to look around where I live today. My neighbor on one side is Black, married to a Korean with two beautiful children. Myself, married to a Thai with 3 children, my oldest daughter married to a Laotian with 4 kids and on one of my grandkids by her married a black guy, 2 kids. The neighbor on the other side is pure a pure white family, but the next place down has a white guy and black woman married with one kid.

I go to the PX and see many, many mixed race couples with kids. Go down to Walmarts or the Mall, the same, but a lot of them are these young college kids. We live in a very small world today, it is getting smaller with each passing day. At least come the future race will have less and less meaning as more and more people will come from mix race couples and they too will have kids.

This is if man doesn't destroy himself first.

UNC News -- Students of mixed races report suffering more health problems

Health and Behavior Risks of Adolescents with Mixed-Race Identity

Lets see what the bottom line on both studies are:

A new study that involved surveying 90,000 adolescent U.S. students showed that those who considered themselves to be of mixed race were more likely than others to suffer from depression, substance abuse, sleep problems and various aches and pains.

Results. Mixed-race adolescents showed higher risk when compared with single-race adolescents on general health questions, school experience, smoking and drinking, and other risk variables.

Conclusions. Adolescents who self-identify as more than 1 race are at higher health and behavior risks. The findings are compatible with interpreting the elevated risk of mixed race as associated with stress.

So not really a plus sign for mixed race now is it? I mean, I'm not advocating that people shouldn't be allowed to marry whomever they want, by all means, marry whomever you want.

I am just presenting scientific evidence that shows that mixed race people are not really better off than single race people. I mean, if we were living in the stone age and life would be harsh, where only the most adaptable would survive, mixed race kids wouldn't really have a survivability rating as single race kids. Which explains why we have the races we have to begin with, now doesn't it? Any other unsuccessful subspecies died out over the course of time and the best ones endured. The races we see now on the planet are the successful mutations if you will, the successful racial natural progression that occurred over milleniums.

Highly unlikely. At the rate the country was going it is much more probable that slavery would have ended within 20-25 years...tops.

Maybe...but look at the attitudes that had already evolved in the first 50 years or so of the countries existence. Some states had already banned the practice before the country was formed. Importation of slaves was banned shortly after the country was formed. Worldwide the attitude was changing.
