If we can lie in Facebook ads and get away with it, we know that campaign finance laws are not equipped to address online political advertising. My plan would modernize campaign finance law for the digital age. If you are ready to regulate political ads on the internet, sign up.

She wants to regulate political ads. No seriously , she actually said that.

" Hi I'm Donald Trump and I approve this message"

Undoing the fairness doctrine was the ghoulish cadaver, Reagan's, longest impact in this country.

He destroyed journalism and replaced it with opinion.

You cons have -no one- but yourselves to blame.

Campaign finance law has nothing to do with the "truth" of political ads (regardless of the ad media used). What Warren wants is a (FEC?) ministry of truth - deciding what can (or can't) be said in a political/campaign ad.

My guess is an everyday kind of moron, and it was simply a typo in the OP title. ;)

She never adds much to the debate around here besides correcting my typos and " Trump suck"

Zuckerberg slapped her but good...
Increasingly, we’re seeing people try to define more speech as dangerous because it may lead to political outcomes they see as unacceptable. Some hold the view that since the stakes are so high, they can no longer trust their fellow citizens with the power to communicate and decide what to believe for themselves.

I personally believe this is more dangerous for democracy over the long term than almost any speech. Democracy depends on the idea that we hold each others’ right to express ourselves and be heard above our own desire to always get the outcomes we want. You can’t impose tolerance top-down. It has to come from people opening up, sharing experiences, and developing a shared story for society that we all feel we’re a part of. That’s how we make progress together.

...Totally different. But you knew that.
By this deflection,
I take it you're ok with a ministry of truth.

Good to know.

I don't know about a ministry of truth, but I would buy a "propaganda analyser" app.

Market it to parents.

Watch blood run in the streets when they see how much of this crap their kids are being exposed to.

...Totally different.
you seemed incredulous that regulation of "ad" existed....jus try'n tuh help.

But you knew that.
you didn't, apparently.

Newspapers already reject political "ad" containing lies, deceptions, untruths.

this is her campaign proposal:

My plan would modernize campaign finance law for the digital age by including internet ads in rules regulating electioneering communications, requiring large platforms to keep a “political file” with information about ad buys, just like TV and radio broadcasters do, and requiring large platforms to make reasonable efforts to prevent illegal ad buys by foreign nationals.

Ordinarily, criticism of a poster’s misspelling would be a cheap shot however, considering your propensity to misspell words, you should consider tres’ input a favor to the spelling impaired and say “thank you”.

That's all completely in line with current Democrat thinking. They love "freedom" but only the kind of freedom they want for themselves. They want to censor religious speech, political speech, "social awareness" speech, etc. For Democrats the entire concept of "freedom" is that as long as they get what they want then everyone can be free. If they don't get what they want then they have issues with freedom.

...which has nothing to do with anything. Newspaper can do anything they want. The issue is whether Government should regulate truthfulness.

You're the one who ironically called Warren moron by misspelling it. Now that was a cheap shot to yourself. :lamo

Misspelling or mis-typing?

I unfortunately suffer from something called Einstein's syndrome. This is where my brain and thinking ares so advanced, my fingers can't keep with my bran.....oh shoot it's happening again....I mean brain

Conveniently ignores her stated policy....while ignoring the context of the comment. Taking things out of context is a losing method.
