I think every kid should see this, and really listen.

Truly a brilliant and inspiring performance.

What age children do you think should see this or better yet, understand it?

I think this video had more to do with art and statement then efficacy. By the time a child, or adult, might understand and absorb this, it's too late for the message to have any positive effect on childhood bullying.

Surely middle school and high school kids can understand, and sympathize with a great deal of that performance.

I would rather they read this:

There is No Such Thing as a Bully
belittlethebullies.wordpress.com/2012/12/18/there-is-no-such-thing-as-a-bully

"...Ask me a simple question. What is bullying? And I will tell you that it is a constant fight, a constant inner battle within ourselves...The weakness is in our own hearts and our souls. If we do not believe in ourselves and our abilities and our strengths and our virtues, then it should come as no surprise when a fellow being attempts, and succeeds, to diminish our integrities. For, if we do not have faith in our own characters, why should anyone else?...What is my advice to the currently afflicted? Stop searching for advocates and start becoming your own...Do not let others diminish your self worth, your integrity, and the strong character I know you possess. Do not let the opinions of the insignificants become the guiding force in your life...Today I look at the little girl I once was, hiding in the corner, hiding more from herself than from anyone else, and I smile. Because if I were never to experience her tortures and her downfalls and battle her inner demons, then I would not be the young lady I am today...I would still believe in bullies. But there is no such thing as a bully."

I'm not buying that

It's not that the quote says anything that is untrue. However, young children have not developed enough (morally, emotionally or intellectually) to understand it so, in most cases, it won't be helpful for them.

Yeah...anything written isn't going to strike home as well as a performance piece that is highly emotional and heartfelt.
