I found this test following a link posted by David Brooks. It's not one of those stupid clickbait tests you'll find on Facebook but rather an assessment with some scientific basis.

This test measures the five fundamental personality traits. A description is below.

The general consensus in academic psychology is that there are five fundamental personality traits. This model is assumed in most personality research, and is the basis of many of the most well regarded tests employed by psychologists who maintin close connections with academia. The "big five" tend to not be popular in consumer focused personality assessment or self-help because to many people the feedback of the model seems relatively basic. This test uses public domain scales from the International Personality Item Pool.

Interesting test. My scores were 58, 93, 62, 95 and 59.

Here are my results.

I'm a bit of an introvert obviously.

Concientousness is a key driver of success, especially at work.

Harvard has been studying the link between childhood chores and later life success for 85 years.

You are very introverted. I had to be an involuntary extrovert at work so if I were to have taken this test before I retired I would score as more of an extrovert.

I was extremely shy as a kid. If I took the test as 10 year old me I would score 1 or 2 on extroversion 😆

Making casual small talk is my kryptonite.

What a bunch of introverts we are!
I set new records for introversion. I don't even like being with myself.

Maybe that's why we live part time on an anonymous forum.
Pretty much. If you know about Meyers Briggs, I'm supposedly an INTJ. I see it as 20th century astrology.

You can't be bothered with it or don't feel comfortable initiating it, or both?

95, 98, 87, 2, 65

….. whatever that is supposed to mean.

Okay, something is, perhaps plural many things are, wrong with me...

I don't think so. We all seem to be introverts and you score high on the consciencousness and intellect elements.

I'm not sure this test gives true results, but I like taking tests, so..

Not comfortable. Don't know what to say. Tend to trip over my words. Get flush.

That kind of thing. Drinking helps. :)
I was the same when younger. I took the Dale Carnegie course in my 20s and that helped with small talk especially with strangers.

They have you picture a house. In front of the house is a car and beside the car is a briefcase.

So let's say you're sitting beside someone on a plane. The picture triggers questions you can ask to get the other person talking (people love to talk about themselves).

The house: where do you live? Do you have children?
The car: travel related. Where are you going? Are you taking a winter vacation this year?
The briefcase: what kind of work do you do?

Some women are more resistant about answering personal questions so you have to modify a bit sometimes. So instead of asking where a woman lives I might ask something less personal - whether they are flying for business or pleasure for example.

I can be aloof at times...depends on the situation
But i like to think i am intelligent, and stable, and very dependable
