A Congressional Investigation Is A Necessity

There seems to be little point in alleging unauthorized (criminal?) use of the autopen (by others), since that would rely on Joe “Where am I?” Biden ‘remembering’ precisely which uses (by others) of the autopen were/weren’t authorized (by him).

Do you think Trump signed all those pardons for the 1/6 mob by hand?

I don't think we can get any more basic with "Law and "Order" than a possible hijacking of presidential powers in the United States.

I saw this firsthand as I was just entering military service when Former President Nixon had to resign. Luckily, that investigation was bi-partisan in nature and I think that is essential in this case, as well.

It is obvious that something was very wrong within the Biden Administration and to deny that because of party loyalty is simply careless. I wrote "something" because the exact nature of what was going on is only slowly being dribbled out in books meant to make money, but the pieces are like a puzzle that we all watched last year and the year before, but allowed our party affiliation to blind us to what was happening.

This is a situation where the nation needs answers, no matter what your political beliefs may be. This is a situation where "Law and Order" at the highest office is the issue. If the "Law" was followed and no wrong doing took place, let us see that result brought before the public in a bi-partisan manner.

if something bad did happen, we also should be informed, BUT be careful of what follows that finding.

Either way, an investigation is going to be needed.

Conspiracy theory.

It seems there were some attempts last year to investigate some of this and now I will present this link to an article that is good, in my view, because it offers many links for its readers to check out, if/when they have the time:

And a couple of paragraphs quoted here might be okay:

Comer had issued subpoenas for some Biden staffers last year, but the Biden administration blocked the testimony. Now, he’s restarting the process with letters demanding that targets of his probe sit for transcribed interviews with committee investigators by June 25. Subpoenas could follow if the staffers decline to testify voluntarily, Comer told Newsmax on Wednesday.

“The cover-up of President Biden’s obvious mental decline is a historic scandal," Comer said in a Thursday statement, mentioning the baseless speculation that Biden’s staff used an autopen to sign official actions and pardons without his knowledge. "The American people deserve to know when this decline began, how far it progressed, and who was making critical decisions on his behalf. The American people demand transparency and accountability now.”

And I was poking around looking for some media entity that could be viewed as sort of in the center, and this is interesting:

And a kind of bias assessment of the Wall Street Journal is shown here:

And now we have MSNBC getting into the fray, which does surprise me a bit:

As I give consideration to this I suppose there are a few 'buttons' to consider; the "Okay" button(1) - the "Uh oh" button(2) - the "Worried" button(3) - the "Semi-panic" button(4) - the "Panic" button(5). That would be wife/family/close staff buttons.

So one morning the President tells his wife he isn't feeling so great and maybe the schedule could be adjusted for a bit and there is no need to hit the 2nd thru 5th buttons - it's just the "Okay" button - and some reducing of scheduled meetings or some such stuff. No big deal.

Maybe this only happens once every couple weeks and still no big deal.

But then it starts to get a little more often and that gets us to the "Worried" button and maybe starting some folks to slowly consider keeping quiet because it is not a 'panic' thing and maybe all will be okay in the end.

And it slowly gets worse and worse and the initial idea is sort of normal, "No big deal. Keep quiet." --- BUT when does the "Semi-panic" button start to get pushed? That is where the 'covering up' might be starting. The 'covering up' that folks aren't going to like when they finally learn about this situation.

Just sort of having a little time to think about this and wondering.

PLUS, I am wondering if anyone has seen any mention of any interview attempts of the folks in the White House that prepare meals? Seems the eating habits would be affected if one is starting to be in not such good health.

This is a rather good summary:

And that one interviewee about having a President in a coma is better than having President Trump really does seem to be the common view with a whole bunch of folks.

Let me try again. Hit some sort of glitch and deleted that last try.

I was trying to explain that I felt that my answer to you lynnwinslow in post #5 (answering your Post #3 question) --- well, my answer fell short in one key way.

That "key" being that you are participating in many discussions on this site and so you must show interests in matters where I could have asked that same question of you. So I went to do some research.

Firstly, I spotted this:

Which confirms you have done the same thing, except my search hasn't been a quick search.

BUT then I hit this:

AND saw this

An impaired Biden with a good staff would still be 200% better than the shit show we have now.

And I realized where your mind is set. You really wouldn't have cared what sort of answer I had provided, as you made it quite clear your agenda is solely set upon one thing; hating President Trump.

Frankly, I simply am not able to comprehend such sort of hate. I mean, you are not married to him, are you? You haven't lived in his home for any given period of time, have you?

Have you even had a chat with the fella?

But you hate him so much that even of you were to find out that actually President Biden did not make that decision to open the border to all sorts of bad people, you wouldn't have worries about that happening, because it was a Biden Admin thing and not a Trump Admin thing.

Or to put it another way, it is okay for a Biden Admin decision to cause great harm to the nation, but it is not okay for Trump to make any decisions about anything because you hate President Trump so badly that ALL he does is bad.

That is a good summary, yes?

Now that I have figured that out I realize I should not even have bothered posting my answer to you, as you actually didn't care what I would answer.

I knew there was something nagging me about your question, but I wasn't expecting to find out what the answer was. I have to feel pity for folks such as yourself that get so stuck in the quicksand that there is possibly no chance of rescue. We see that thought process offered by media professionals all over the world, by Community Citizens here in the Community, but the realization of what that actually means doesn't often hit home until hitting something like I have hit here.

I really do feel sadness toward yourself and your Democratic Party. You folks are really heading downhill faster than I thought. We Independents are going to be Party #2 within two decades.

In the meantime, Congress is going to be asking for some answers and some Democratic Party folks are going to realize they'd better wake up and join their Republican colleagues and start paying attention to what we all witnessed during about 2023 and 2024. But that waking up may be too late for the Democratic Party. Quite sad, to be frank. Very, very sad.

Trump must have gotten shot down in court yesterday.

I asked last week that it be a bi-partisan sort of investigation, but this from WTOP in Maryland some hours ago seems to indicate that a bi-partisan effort at finding some answers isn't yet in the works:

Though there was a Democrat, Rep. Ro Khanna, who offered some thoughts I'll quote below, there are still only responses from Democratic Party leaders that run something about moving forward.

Let's take a look at what Representative Khanna had to say:

But other Democrats, such as Rep. Ro Khanna — who defended Biden’s mental and physical fitness during the 2024 campaign — admitted he was wrong, but said there wasn’t a cover-up of ahead of the election.

“I don’t think it was a cover-up … but I do think that the advisers and people close to Joe Biden owe an explanation … What I don’t think the Democratic Party can do is just say, ‘Let’s talk about the future. Let’s move past this,'” Khanna told ABC News’ “This Week” co-anchor Jonathan Karl last Sunday.
