80 billion dollars to Ukraine

We are now up to 80 billion with the new 12 billion just sent to Ukraine. This is in addition to the arms sent. This is stupid. We are destroying our economy with this. This is a never-ending dollar burn pit.

Prove it.

Our economy has had issues before this and will continue to after.

Personally, I think it's a cheap price to block Russia from an attempt at imperial expansion.
Plus, there's the whole thing where Ukrainians don't want to be invaded and conquered by Russia.

I tend to think there are few downsides and that the upsides vastly outweigh them.

Prove we have spiraling inflation? prove the stock market is tanking? No it is not a price we should be paying. There is absolutely no upside for the US.

It's not an additional cost though is it? The weapons sent were just sitting around somewhere.

The only real cost is for transportation.

The cause is almost never just one thing, and this is no different.
Hell, I doubt the Ukraine thing is even a major contributor.

It's a safe bet that we're already in the process of replacing that stockpile, unless it was outdated.

Edit: Because we have to maintain the ridiculous lead in military power that we have.
We're the only remaining superpower, who knows when the rest will band together and try to take us down.
