Actually I was just reading an article where leftist organizations, including NPR are promoting the OPPOSITE notion! They are saying that "dieting is racially problematic", and that the idea of keeping yourself healthy and in a good weight range, is "based in white supremacy and racism"! So, in the middle of a pandemic that's killing overweight people, some leftist outlets are trying to discredit and undermine the concept of losing weight and being healthy, while encouraging people to NOT diet, and NOT protect themselves from becoming severely ill by losing weight!
