What the law I linked to says is that it is a second degree felony for anyone “to induce a child younger than 18 years of age to engage in sexual conduct or a sexual performance.” You can’t consent at age 17 when it’s unlawful for anyone to have sex with you.

That is to prevent adults from sexually abusing children. Teenagers are going to have sex with one another. That is life.

I’d rather a teenager get birth control from a clinic without her parents knowing than a teenager trying to find a way to get out of Texas to get an abortion without her parents knowing.

The only thing keeping birth control out of the hands of teens does is guarantee more unwanted teen pregnancies.

That may be life, but it’s not the law and it makes no sense at all to argue that statutory rape should be facilitated as part of a conspiracy to violate another law requiring parental consent.

Simpler: Biden is CiC. He could redeploy/restation every member of the military northward. Lots of mothballed bases and airfields in the Northeast. Put all bases in TX on skeleton crews, and we could watch the dollars and support businesses dry up.
