Where exactly are the areas of Mexico that have not had problems with cartels and violence over the past few years? Because the last time I saw a map of the various cartels' territory, there wasn't a single Mexican acre that wasn't in cartel territory.
*insert picture of large iron here*
I hear Bush was responsible for 9/11, oh wait bad analogy he was warned personally. :doh
LOL..ah very astute of you, we will have to put a recommendation in for you to be considered as the CEO of NPRhahah.. How would anybody try to blame this on Obama or Bush? It happened in a foreign country.
Good grief. You are in Idaho. Get a grip.
I don't understand why they would randomly kill people like that. They sell drugs, why is a massacre necessary for their business?

I think blaming the existence of drug cartels and their ownership of weapons on the US government is beyond stretching things.I think a story that pertains to drug cartels that exist because of our government and that own high-powered weapons because of our government is slightly political.
Ive hear the same thing. And Im not sure we should do about it. Make that crappy area a part of the US? Before that I would legalize weed. I dont like pot but this seems to solve problems.
Hmmm...perhaps. You WERENT suggesting that the president and BATF are responsible for the deaths of 53 people? You werent suggesting it is appropriate to consider the blame for the deaths of 53 people on the ATF policy?Μολὼν λαβέ;1059758945 said:Your reading comprehension skills are way off today.
As for violence being south of the border only, very wrong. The numbers of kidnappings that make Phoenix AZ 2nd in the world are perpetrated by illegal Aliens and Drug Cartels.
Crimes in places like San Diego, L.A. take place all the time but because they are Sanctuary Cityies that refuse to enforce the Laws on the books,
For those who think all the Violence is on the Border, guess again. The following headlines are from Aug, 14th until the 21rst, that's 8 days and I just picked a few and there are plenty more.
Mayor Kidnapped Near Mexico City Found Dead
Five headless bodies found in Acapulco
9 Bodies found on a highway in western Mexico
Attacks on Taxi Drivers, Buses in Mexican Resort City Leave 13 Dead
Gunmen kill 5 in Mexican Pacific resort city
11 people slain in Acapulco, Mexico
The vast majority of people killed are innocent civilians and used to send the message that the Cartels are in charge.

Yes, of course. Over 50 people are murdered by Mexican gangsters in Mexican casino and its Washington's fault.
I hold Joe Biden responsible myself.
What about Bush?
I agree. I think we should start legalizing some drugs, and end the drug war.

He (Calderon) can directly blame the BATFE and Eric Holder, in other words, the US Government, for some of it, i.e. Operation Fast and Furious.
The Department of Justice, and more specifically, Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, clearly knew about Operation Fast and Furious.
The botched surveillance operation has led to the deaths of American and Mexican citizens. It is yet another in a long litany of failed attempts at outwitting and outgunning the drug cartels, though admittedly outgunning becomes hard to do when the US government is directly supplying the cartels with AK-47’s.
Oh I hear ya. I even comprehend just fine. You have the same mindset of those people that think those poor criminals in America wouldnt kill people if it wasnt for gun manufacturers. And this attack on the casino...those people were killed by the guns the ATF foolishly sold in Operation Fast and Furious?Μολὼν λαβέ;1059759101 said:This what I wrote that you responded to:

House Panel Slams 'Fast And Furious' Gun Operation Tied To Border Agent's Death | FoxNews.com
U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and Mexican attorney, Mario Gonzalez Rodriguez were murder victims as a result of the US Government's operation, Fast and Furious. If the Government hadn't sold those guns to the drug cartels, there would be no blood on their hands. So wouldn't that make the BATFE and the those who knew about the operation all the way up to Holder/Obama, accessory to murder?

If Lanny Brewer knew about it, Holder knew about it. If Holder knew about it, don't you think Obama knew about it?
There are current reports that up to 59 people have been murdered as a result of guns the US Government supplied to Mexican Drug Cartels.

So you are Ok with kidnapping torture and murder in your country as long as it doesn’t affect you huh. Amazing!I know people in Arizona, and they have said, as others here, they only kidnap Mexican American people. They kidnap people they can extort, and people associated with the cartels. They basically leave American born, non anchor baby having folks alone. The people in know in AZ don't worry about being kidnapped.

And as I said in the post you felt the need to jump in on...your position is completely irrelevant to the thread and OP. Reeading a headline about 53 dead in a casino in mejico and automatically blaming it on Obama and the ATF is foolishness. Why cant you comprehend that?Μολὼν λαβέ;1059759188 said:I never commented on the casino attack. I responded to the frustration Calderon must be feeling as a result of the Mexican drug cartel violence and that he should take some of the heat for being obviously less than competent.
I have mostly pointed out what happened as a result of the government's Fast and Furious operation; guns sent to Mexico as a direct result of the US Government's desire to get them to drug cartels. What part of that is not true?
Why can't you comprehend that?
I'd go to Mexico again in a heartbeat. The scariest thing there is the way the cab drivers drive. :rofl

I'd rather live my life than stay bunkered down in my panic room. I don't take unnecessary risks. I'd rather visit Cancun over Gary, IN.
