The impression I get is that several lower level employees were involved, and that Trump did not know of the discrimination until the lawsuit was filed, after the fact.

First, Social Security tax is capped at $137,700 for 2020. So, whether you earn $137,700 or $4,000,000 in wages, you still pay the same tax in dollars.
Second, Social Security tax is on wages, not capital gains, nor interest, dividends, etc. I am shocked that you don't know this. So, whatever Bezos' salary, he only pays SSA on $137,700.
Third, most Americans want the wealthy to pay higher taxes and higher taxes doesn't scare anyone from defecting to low-taxes Somalia.
