5 Reasons Why I Reject The Doctrine of The Trinity!!

New World Translation v Darby Translation - Mat 17:21; 18:11

New World Translation v King James Version - Mat 23:14; Mar 7:16

New World Translation v 1599 Geneva Bible - Mrk 9:44,46; 11:26

New World Translation v Wycliffe Bible - Mrk 15:28; Luk 17:36

New World Translation v New King James Version - Luk 23:17; Joh 5:4

New World Translation v The Voice - John 7:53; Act 8:37

New World Translation v New Century Version - Act 15:34; 24:7

New World Translation v Modern English Version - Acts 28:29; Rom 16:24;

After comparing eight bibles with the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (2013), evidence has been provided showing that:
  1. A total of 17 single verses are missing from the bible used by Jehovah’s Witnesses.
  2. Most bibles do not have gaps at the aforementioned verses.

Partial Verses Omitted

In the New World Translation, there are partial omissions made to some of their verses. The omissions are underlined in the comparative verses.
New World Translation v Amplified Bible CE - Luk 1:28

New World Translation v BRG Bible - Act 24:6

New World Translation v Douay-Rheims 1899 - Act 24:8

New World Translation v JB Philips NT - Col 1:2

After comparing ten additional bibles with the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (2013), evidence has been provided showing that an additional ten verses are missing some text from the bible used by Jehovah’s Witnesses.

A New World Translation Comparison

There are interesting differences between the 2013 edition and the 1984 edition of the New World Translation. You are invited to compare both editions of the New World Translations for yourself. When a comparison is done of Mark 16:9-20 and John 8:1-11, one may be surprised to note that whole sections of text have been removed. In the 2013 edition, a footnote is provided justifying their omissions by referring their readers to A3. However, A3 does not include any reference to the omitted text.
New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (2013 Edition)

New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (1984 Edition)

Why has the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society removed over thirty verses from their bible? Is it because some of these scriptures conflict with their doctrine? A reading of John 8:1-11 is a powerful examination of a Christian’s duty to be forgiving, not to be condemning. However, Jehovah’s Witnesses are quick to condemn their fellow brethren for their sins, disfellowshipping them and thus mentally torturing them with their evil act of shunning. Compare Matthew 18:21, 22.
There is clear evidence that the above noted differences between the New World Translation and other bibles is because the same differences are contained within extant manuscripts. However, the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society‘s suggestion that the verses at John 8:1-11 and Mark 16:9-20 are “spurious” is open to debate. Consider the argument for the inclusion of the verses at John 8:1-11 here. Even though the text in Mark is accepted by most scholars to have been an addition, the justification for removing it is argued against by many scholars here.

The Final Word

There is a broad concurrence among textual scholars to reflect in the main text the readings supported by the most reliable manuscripts, and to print these disputed passages at the margins, or also in the main text but marked with some symbols (for instance, a bracket [ ]) to indicate that the passage is disputed. The latest edition of the New World Translation disregards this recommendation.

Footnotes
1 This article does not discuss Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society‘s allegation that these omitted verses from their bible are additions to manuscripts by copyists. Rather, the purpose of this article is to (1) inform the public of these omitted verses, (2) disprove the claim that most bibles omit these verses, and (3) highlight the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society‘s attempt to suppress the content of these verses considering that in time, just like their 1961 edition of the New World Translation, they will remove the 1984 edition of their bible from general use.

This article is found here: https://avoidjw.org/faq/missing-verses/

Based on those master texts, it is evident that some verses of the Christian Greek Scriptures found in older translations, such as the King James Version, were actually additions made by later copyists and were never part of the inspired Scriptures. However, because the verse division generally accepted in Bible translations was already established in the 16th century, the omission of these verses now creates gaps in the verse numbering in most Bibles. The verses are Matthew 17:21; 18:11; 23:14; Mark 7:16; 9:44, 46; 11:26; 15:28; Luke 17:36; 23:17; John 5:4; Acts 8:37; 15:34; 24:7; 28:29; and Romans 16:24. In this revised edition, those omitted verses are indicated by a footnote at the location of the omission.

Regarding the long conclusion for Mark 16 (verses 9-20), the short conclusion for Mark 16, and the wording found at John 7:53–8:11, it is evident that none of these verses were included in the original manuscripts. Therefore, those spurious texts have not been included in this revision.c

Further details on why these verses are viewed as spurious can be found in the footnotes of the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures—With References, published in 1984.

Regarding the long conclusion for Mark 16 (verses 9-20), the short conclusion for Mark 16, and the wording found at John 7:53–8:11, it is evident that none of these verses were included in the original manuscripts. Therefore, those spurious texts have not been included in this revision.c

Some other wording has been adjusted to incorporate what scholars generally accept as the most authentic reflection of the original writings. For instance, according to some manuscripts, Matthew 7:13 reads: “Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction.” In previous editions of the New World Translation, “is the gate” was not included in the text. However, further study of the manuscript evidence led to the conclusion that “is the gate” was in the original text. So it was included in this present edition. There are a number of similar refinements. However, these adjustments are minor, and none of them change the basic message of God’s Word.

Missing verses. Some translations add verses and phrases that are not in the oldest available Bible manuscripts, but the New World Translation excludes such added material. Many modern translations either omit those later additions or acknowledge that those additions lack support from the most authoritative sources.b

b For example, see the New International Version and the Catholic New Jerusalem Bible. The added verses are Matthew 17:21; 18:11; 23:14; Mark 7:16; 9:44, 46; 11:26; 15:28; Luke 17:36; 23:17; John 5:4; Acts 8:37; 15:34; 24:7; 28:29; and Romans 16:24. The King James Version and the Douay-Rheims Version include a Trinitarian passage at 1 John 5:7, 8, which was added hundreds of years after the Bible was written.

In 1886 trinitarians changed the definition of the Greek word "monogenes" which means "mono" - only and "genes" - begat. They changed it to mean "only, unique" dropping the "begat" part, since they believe Jesus isn't a "begotten" being. Same with the other Greek word "prototokos" which means "firstborn". Trinitarians changed it to mean nothing more than "preeminence" since they believe Jesus always existed and was never born. But such isn't "Koine" (common) Greek as this video proves.

It is essential that we know God. Eternal life is to know God and His Messiah, Jesus. I have 5 Biblical reasons that I reject the doctrine of man, the trinity.

Bottom line...what fruitage has the trinity produced down through the ages? Even now...

You may have your reasons for rejecting the Trinity............but they don't necessarily mean they are right reasons.

In fact - your arguments against the TRINITY have all been soundly refuted!
You couldn't defend them. You ran away from some of them!
Some have even back-fired on you! Like the title of your other thread.

If you keep clinging to your reasons - though you know they have been proven wrong - meh - that's your choice.
The reflection will fall on your poor sense of judgment, and inability to discern.

Enjoy your thread.

1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
New King James Version

Ephesians 1:3

Have you ever wondered, why the Apostles said: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ" If they believed in the Trinity? Even after Jesus had ascended to Heaven?

To understand the Trinity, it’s best to consider The Godfather film, identified by Tom Hanks in one pic as the I Ching, a foundational source of wisdom. Vito Corleone had three manifestations of himself, in his three sons. Sonny is God the Father, always ready to smite someone, even approving of mass killings in the Old Testament. Michael is God the Son, like Jesus in the garden the night before Pilate’s judgement, unsure of his acceptance of his mission. The Holy Spirit is Fredo, doesn’t get much attention or respect is sent to run errands, like Pentecost.

(2Co 11:31) The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

(Eph 4:6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Scripture attests the apostles did not believe in a trinity.

The risen, ascended, and glorified Christ agrees too:

(Rev 3:12) Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

The very same reason Walter Gadriel the FATHER called JESUS both GOD and LORD: See Hebrew chapter 1 (the Jehovah Witnesses like to ignore this chapter)

Hebrews 1

God’s Supreme Revelation
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For to which of the angels did He ever say:
You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”
?
And again:
I will be to Him a Father,
And He shall be to Me a Son
”?
6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says:
Let all the angels of God worship Him.”
7 And of the angels He says:
Who makes His angels spirits
And His ministers a flame of fire.

8 But to the Son He says:
“Your throne, O God,
is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
10 And:
You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
11 They will perish, but You remain;
And they will all grow old like a garment;
12 Like a cloak You will fold them up,
And they will be changed.
But You are the same,
And Your years will not fail.”
13 But to which of the angels has He ever said:
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

REMEMBER: The MESSIAH GOD had emptied HIMSELF to become a human of flesh See Philippians 2:5-11

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

MESSIAH/CHRIST in fact is one of a triune entity that is labeled GOD (FATHER,MESSIAH,& HOLY SPIRIT). GOD is made up of three persons, each with their own tasks. And the verses above are describing JESUS (the human the MESSIAH/CHRIST) had to become in order to save us as HE did. So in fact the MESSIAH/CHRIST became the FATHER's SON (by way of JESUS) so that we as believers can become GOD's adopted children. CHRIST was NEVER an angelic being. If you have any further questions I will try to help.

The casual outsider would look at this Trinity debate and think: OK God is the creator and Christ is the savior…..which is more important to me ? It is already a fact that I am created but there is no certainty that I can be saved…….unless….?

Only God can forgive.
But, Jesus forgives.

Only God can judge.
But, Jesus will judge.

Therefore..........

Pay attn. please......the one speaking here is the One who SITS on the throne. Where does Jesus sit in relation to the throne in heaven? If you don't know, please go back to school.

Yes, it is GOD who's speaking.
It reveals that, GOD and Jesus are One and The Same.

You have to learn how to connect-the-dots.

I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.
13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

Whose coming are we waiting for? JESUS!

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Flashback to Rev 1.

Rev 1

Prologue

1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
2 who bore witness to
the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.

Who is The WORD of GOD? Jesus Christ.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.

In this verse John testifies that this account of his encounter with Jesus Christ has been recorded accurately.

Further, he describes the substance of his testimony as the Word of God. The book of Revelation, therefore, is the product of divine inspiration and not the product of human imagination.

John had previously written the Gospel of John,
introducing Jesus to the world as the Word, God's message in human form.

The ultimate testimony of Christ is in revealing and confirming His true identity. HE IS GOD. (Rev 22)

(Rev 21:5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Sacrificing jesus to himself doesnt make a lot of sense. The trinity is nonsense trying to force what would be polytheism into monotheism unless god somehow has multiple personality disorder.

I forgive and we all must learn to forgive. It is a necessary requirement to entering the Kingdom of God. Forgiving does not make one God. You seem to not understand that God, the Father of Jesus the Christ gave all power and judgment to His Son. A "God" does not need this given, but the Son, the Christ did and now He acts in God's stead. We all must have the same God as Christ, not a different one.

Yes, it is a strange doctrine which infiltrated Christianity about 1 to 2 hundred years after the apostles died. Today it's tradition and the commandments of man, totally foreign to scripture unless one is wearing those special glasses.
