The headline: 2 people killed, 5 others wounded in Washington, DC, shooting, police say*

Guns in the news again.

And once again our present gun laws, coupled with their levels of enforcement and our social programs, failed to prevent these two gunshot deaths. The tally's 3,328 killed by gunshot this year.* We're on track for over 15,800 gunshot deaths in 2024.

Death by gunshot remains one of the leading causes of death among our youth.

Guns in the news.

Again.

Regards, stay safe 'n well . . . ;n un-shot.

Culture...not guns. In a city that has been dominated by leftist politics and politicians since 1961...a city with some of the most strict gun laws in the country...poverty, violence, and death is the accepted standard.

And you pee yourself over guns.

Culture...not guns. Until you can be honest about that, nothing will change. As long as you insist on trolling with the dead for your political cause...you will just continue to show how little you actually care about anything but your cause.

Death by gunshot is one of the leading causes of death among our youth. A death by gunshot occurs roughly every 13 minutes here in the United States of America.

What additional gun laws would have prevented this shooting?

Bullshit.

Gun Culture in America equals a lot of gun deaths and injuries as it's the method for taking care of our issues, from disputes to offing ourselves and it makes it much easier to kill.

If we had actual forethought we'd have alined our gun laws to limit the casualties of owning, and the side effect of injury. Instead, we let gun lobbyist take care of it, and gun owners to dictate gun laws which is a little like letting the wolf dictate where we should keep the chickens.

America could use some help from Europe on this one, we've failed. There really isn't any excuse I've heard given to justify it. Americans are too irresponsible to own a mass amount of weapons. We don't know how to keep them out of the hands of those who'll do harm with them, either to themselves or others. Complete and utter failure.

Culture and humans also create pedo’s. Knowing this is true should we not violate the human rights of pedo’s and allow them to teach kindergarten or work in day cares? Or live and be within certain distances of children?

There are approx 170 million Americans of all races, religions, lack of religion, political persuasion, etc that own firearms and use firearms as they are intended. THAT is gun culture. Gun culture is families out at the shooting range teaching kids responsible firearm ownership. Its target shooting, competitive shooting, hunting, home and personal defense as necessary.

THAT is gun culture.

There IS a culture that encompass the violence you peak of. But you dont want to address that........do you.

Most leftists don’t care about those people.
Heller 2008 is the problem.

Your question lacks depth. That in and of itself is not shocking.

Taken to the logical conclusion would you have everyone's civil rights violated for thought crimes? Should people diagnosed with all forms of mental illness also be denied access to children...that includes teaching jobs for people that have experienced depression or anxiety? I suppose that means all pedo-grooming leftists as well, including those intent on promoting homosexuality to children in classrooms...right?

Dont get me wrong...of course we both agree that actual pedophiles should be denied because of their actions the ability to influence children. ACTIONS.Anyone that is known to have both the desire and intent to perpetrate on children should be denied access to children.

Gun Culture is not about the commission of violent crime. We have approx 170 million gun owners that hold approx 50 million firearms. They are not out perpetrating violent crime...thats not what 'gun culture' is about. We shoot for fun. We shoot for sport. We hunt. We own firearms for personal, family, and home defense. We do not misuse firearms or commit violent crimes. Because violent crime is NOT gun culture.

The CULTURE that breeds violence including gun violence is something very different. And if you actually care about reducing violent crimes, thats where you should start. WHO is committing those violent crimes, where...and why?

Gun laws that exist in all other developed countries with far fewer gun deaths.

The US is nothing like any other "developed country."

But go ahead, name one gun law.

I’ll stick with voting for people who support gun control measures and wait for a clever way to overturn Heller. I do feel sorry for people who are afraid of violence and are paranoid about their government.

But responsible enough to elect, appoint, and supply all manner of arms to people selected from the irresponsible population.

What leads to this paradox is the notion that a small number of people represent a much larger population.

I think most of the anti-gun leftists would like it if we were more like all of those really really really really 'white' countries. Thats always who they reference when they promote their ideas of socialism as well.

What data do you need to know that the vast majority of gun violence in this country occurs in the poverty stricken majority minority communities in the democrat run cities across the country?

The vast majority of gun violence in this country occurs where the vast majority of guns are.

Yes, it's all encompassed in Gun Culture, that's one of the reasons it's nearly impossible to control the collateral damage it causes. It's fun! There are a lot of beloved cultural norms in societies they've had to limit because of their collateral damage. Just reality.

Similar to the drinking culture in some countries. Number 1 drinking culture in Europe is Belarus not only consumes the greatest amount of alcohol per capita: it's also among the countries with the most years of life lost due to annual alcohol consumption. It's also classified as having one of the riskiest patterns of drinking — such as days-long binge drinking — compared to other countries
Here's the list.

You'll notice the collateral damage to this activity needs addressing. Just like our Gun cultures collateral damage in America needs addressing.
I wonder if the Alcohol companies object to addressing excessive drinking in these countries I've listed? I would imagine so, just like here.

I imagine we'd be addressing it better if we weren't ****ed up the ass by lobbyists and special interest groups. It's a difficult situation, and shows just how little responsibility we take for protecting our society, including the right to a peaceful daily existence.

The vast majority of guns are in the homes of peaceful, law abiding people.
But those peaceful law abiding people haven't a clue how to keep them out of the hands of criminals. There's your problem, and before you go there, yes, it is part of the responsibility of being a gun owner, and a citizen of this country.

Culture...not guns.
