2 NJ students get suspended for going to the shooting range

Lacey twp, NJ school board has a "rule" that they can suspend any student(s) for up to 1 year for possessing any type of weapon for any reason on or off school grounds at any time.

So these 2 students were at the gun range, with legal guns. They were breaking no laws, then posted the days shoot on social media. The board got wind of it and suspended them both for 5 days. Anyone else smell a law suit? Why no media outcry for this BS "rule"?

including NJ, a minor is not legally allowed to possess a firearm. Link coming soon.

Do you have another link? I looked for this story and can't find any other mention of it. Just not taking an AmmoLand story as being non biased source

We get told constantly that we cant trust our common sense, usually by folks who would be very happy if we subcontracted our deciding out to them.

Holy **** that's dumb. Who is telling you to not trust your common sense. I have never ever been told, "Hey, just don't use common sense" when I was doing something. Now "Hey, you will be fine, just use a little common sense", yes I've heard.

Yeah, I took a look too and it seems to be a totally fake story. You can tell it's fake because the school district won't comment except to say it's wrong.

But, seriously, it's probably all bull**** made up by kids who support Trump so they can't really be trusted anyway. I mean, who has ever heard of a school or a school district having stupid rules about guns? It NEVER happens. I mean, if it really was like that we'd be seeing stories about kids getting suspended for pointing their finger, holding a piece of chewed toast like it was a gun, drawing a picture of a gun, carrying their wooden color guard rifle on campus, stuff like that. I mean, that would just be crazy.

All those who claim that what I think does not matter because I am not an expert, I am not qualified to say, for starters.

I have little reason to doubt the intelligence of non-teacher school administrators.....but....."ammo land" as a source?




That's kind of like "**** liberals dot com" as a good source for a breaking story on how Obama is a muslim

So a whole lot of people claim that what you think is stupid? And that means they are trying to get you to not use common sense? The thing about "a whole lot of people" is that at some point you have to wonder why, what is the common denominator.

Please Pay Attention: A whole lot of people think that I cant know what I am talking about because I am not an expert, they value neither self education nor the value of common sense. But see Zen is all about intuition, our common senses are well used and well trained, so this pissing in my ear and telling me that it is raining does not work on me, all it does is piss me off.
