A while ago, President Trump bragged about how he was going to bring drug prices down by "700, 800, even 1,500 percent." He seemed to keep mentioing that absurd 1,500 percent figure. Yesterday, he mentioned it again concerning a drug that costs $150 in the US but only the equivalent of $10 in Germany. So apparently he thinks if he brings the price of that drug down to $10 here, he's reducing the price by 1,500 percent!

Of course, most of us realize that you can't cut the price of anything by more than 100 percent, at which point the item is free. In this case the reduction in price is $140, which divided by the original price of $150, gives you a 93 percent reduction. Does his "1,500 percent" claim mean that the drug company will now give you your prescription for free, plus award you another $2,100 just to take it off their hands?

So Donald J Trump, the alleged genius, the great business mogul, doesn't understand a simple math concept such as percentage. This the guy some Americans, in thier great wisdom, have chosen for the most important political post on earth.

Along with his obvious physical deterioration, Trump is showing signs of dementia. But given his natural stupidity, his mental laziness and his vast ignorance, it's really hard to tell.

Trump is prone to extreme exaggeration (aka lying) and frequently uses superlatives (e.g. best/worst ever) when that obviously isn’t true.

This is why we need Trump making the decisions for the Federal Reserve. Just imagine what he can do for the economy with those math skills...

He's gonna bring interest rates down 500%!

Just imagine it. People paying negative interest rates. Paying banks to keep their money in their accounts. Think about the massive profits delivered to the rich shareholders!

Trump is a genius!

The hell with that – I'm taking out a yuge loan so the bank has to pay me just to borrow the money from them!

Why would they loan out money when they suddenly are flush with extra cash to buy stocks with?

Between that and your 1500% discount on drugs you'll be retired by Christmas.

Well, he did say he was going to make everyone rich.

I'll just wear my 'Trump Was Right About Everything' hat when I go in to apply for the loan.

If banks stopped loaning money, what would happen to an economy based on credit? Would it Make America Great Again?

I'm currently not on any prescriptions, hoping Taco extends the 1500% discount to over the counter meds. I figure if I buy all the Tylenol in a 5 mile radius before anyone gets wise I'll have enough to retire.

Donalds base love him "because" he's a halfwitted dumbass with an I.Q. of 73.
He speaks their illiterate vocabulary.
He doesn't use those "big words" like all those other politicians.
He speaks for them.

Traitor Trump is a prolific and terrible liar.

It really is that simple.

In the meantime, have prescription drug prices in 'Murica dropped even 1% since last January or are 'Muricans still running to the socialist dystopias of Canada and Mexico for affordable meds?

So why do you suppose the base is still supporting him? They too have to know at least half of what he says is total bullshit?

As I always say, never underestimate the stupidity of the average American. Or in this case, the average MAGAnite.

At this point I am pretty sure it's not about any sort of rational self interest. It's a tribal thing; it's about protecting a perceived cultural identity seen as being under siege.

The problem is when he tells these lies, the media and maga portray it as a face value proposition. Then after nothing happens it's all "you thought he was gonna solve Ukraine in one day lol". "Heads, he lies. Tails, he isn't telling the truth, suckers" seems to be the one consistent argument from the base.
