10 Dirtiest Hotels in the US?

TripAdvisor's 2011 Top 10 Dirtiest Hotels

Maybe this is only important to people like me, but I found it fascinating. Especially the #1. I would have though that that hotel would be a 5 star.

Surprised there was only one in Daytona. You have to be very careful where you stay in that city. I travel a lot, mostly in Florida, and look for the 'extended stay' type motels wherever we have to work. They, for the most part, are cleaner than other chains or independents, I've found.

Old hotels that use to be nice and ritsy are a goldmine for crap.

My husband came home from deployment and we were in Ft Hood - got a room and tried to build a privacy wall with a mattress between the kids and us (sounds silly, I know) but the underside of the mattress was stained bright red - seriously - it looked like someone bled to death on that thing.

But the question I'm wondering is, are these hotels run by democrats or republicans?
