Yes, that is what a leader does - they don't do what everyone else is doing and instead acts dignified.

Plus in this case you mentioned Trump was just "trolling" Trudeau, care to point me to where Trudeau has trolled Trump on social media that "made" Trump give it back?

Thier egos have took quite a beating when Trump defeated the hildabeast in 2016, despite all of the polls telling them all the way into election night that she was going to win. Then just when they thought they had recovered, it happened again in 2024 when the cackler was vanquished,

Also an interesting correlation and similarity, both of those candidates were terrible, and both ran a terrible campaign.
That those arrogant left leaning's egos took a beating is only because they put up their egos to take that beating, i.e. wholly self inflicted, so no sympathy from me for that.
 
My personal opinion is that trolling has no place in politics whether done by Trump or future Republicans, Democrats, or independents. Yes Democrats are sometimes taken in by this and argue against things Trump clearly doesn’t mean, but no that is not a good excuse for Trump to be doing it.

Very true. But all any of us can do is lend what little influence each of us have to what we believe should be. I believe politics should be without trolling. I am not under the assumption that I have any power to make that a reality. But in a place like this to argue on the subject, that is what I am going to argue for and hope that eventually that idea is supported enough it is a reality.

Well, I'm not here either encouraging politicians trolling or condemning it.
To me it's a more survivable position to just see the humor in it, when it happens and its done well. At least then its worth a momentary chuckle.
