“Preserve the Narrative”: The Public Rejects the “Insurrection” Claim in New Polling

84% of the country voted for Trump. It's a logical assumption to believe he won.
Only 4 states provided enough votes for Biden's win.....after dark, after the polls closed with no supervision, those votes appeared.
Oh wait....you believe it was all legitimate....right? Did you believe that in 2016? Hillalry still claims she won.
Are you on that bandwagon?

And as far as the Jan 6 events....the FBI concluded that the factors needed to call it an insurrection didn't exist.
But so what about facts....as long as the socialist agenda prevails you will be happy with your free cheese.
Poe? Gotta be a Poe.

CBS Poll. So there you have it. Like I have said. It was a mostly peaceful protest, frat keg party that got out of hand
===================

In the day long events commemorating January 6th, Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a telling statement to her fellow members and the public at large. Pelosi declared “It is essential that we preserve the narrative of January 6th.” Part of that narrative is that this was not a riot but an “insurrection,” an actual “rebellion” against our country. Pelosi’s concern over the viability of that narrative is well-based as shown by a recent CBS News poll. The majority of the public does not believe that this was an “insurrection” despite the mantra-like repetition of members of Congress and the media. The public saw that terrible day unfold a year ago and saw it for what it was: a protest that became a riot. (For full disclosure, I previously worked as a legal analyst for CBS News).

Not surprisingly, the poll received little comparative coverage on a day when reporters and commentators spoke of “the insurrection” as an undeniable fact. Yet, when CBS asked Americans, they received an answer that likely did not please many. Indeed, CBS did not highlight the answer to the question of whether the day was really a “protest that went too far.” The answer was overwhelming and nonpartisan. Some 76% believe that this was a protest that went too far.

As of now it's a protest that got out of hand. But "IF" they do what it takes to get to the TRUTH of what happened in the 2020 election, this will go from a "Protest" to a "Patriotic Fight against a Coup" !... (Assuming the 6 States Senate Hearings testomony is true).

It pretty pathetic when Criminals try to write the Narrative, so their Crimes are not exposed .... 78% of people who
watch CBS aren't buying it !

As I have stated before, it meets the definition of an insurrection. Look it up.

Yet, a year later, and neither the FBI or DOJ has made no mention of insurrection, have they? Just the clowns on TV.
And your point is? What do you think happened?

Only brain-dead effing morons think an unplanned unarmed group of partyers was trying to take over the government. They were ALLOWED in, there are videos of it.
Tell that to the injured cops.

Yeah, armed guards, they had not one weapon, and they are going to conduct an insurrection. What is wrong with people today?? It is a mass psychosis.
They had weapons.

So says Jonathan Turley, a paid Fox consultant, whose OPINION on the poll is more like a exercise in wordsmithing.
The majority of people in the poll still thought it was a 'protest gone to far', 76%.
So to take the next step and call it a 'protest that went to far' that resulted in violence, injury, and death and an attempt to overthrow a valid and legal election a insurrection is not to hard to do.
What is the definition of an insurrection?
It is a violent uprising against an authority or government.
For a majority of those at 1/6, it was just a protest, one where they got caught up in the moment and entered the Capitol Building, probably not even sure why they did it. The ones who came armed, wearing helmets, body armor, and carrying walkie talkies, those were insurrectionists, and when those trials start, there may be some charged with sedition.

People say all kinds of stupid crap. There were no leaders, no plan, no arms, no nothing. If anyone is to blame it is Pelosi and Bowser who refused to allow the National Guard that Trump wanted to send.
Trump wanted to send the National Guard!!! Dude, I want some of what you been smoking. He was too busy watching the insurrection on TV. I bet he was
masturbating when he heard the call to hang pence.

84% of the country voted for Trump. It's a logical assumption to believe he won.
Where’d you get this idiotic notion from?
Only 4 states provided enough votes for Biden's win.....after dark, after the polls closed with no supervision, those votes appeared.
4 was enough.
Oh wait....you believe it was all legitimate....right?
Biden’s win was legitimate. Dozens and dozens of failed lawsuits, recounts, and investigations all affirmed it.

Time to let the sore loser butt hurt go.
Did you believe that in 2016? Hillalry still claims she won.
Horse shit.

Are you on that bandwagon?
What’re you on?
And as far as the Jan 6 events....the FBI concluded that the factors needed to call it an insurrection didn't exist.
Does that make you feel better about the historic literal attack on Congress by a mob of violent crazy ass Trumpsters as it’s members were engaging in carrying out their sworn duty to count/certify Biden’s legitimate win?
But so what about facts....as long as the socialist agenda prevails you will be happy with your free cheese.
🤣 You’re clueless.

We can only hope that they will, and definitely should, be charged with sedition.

Amazingly enough, this sort of thing isn't handled by opinion polls.
This poll that has trumpers all exited because supposedly 76% of the public are not ready to call 1/6 an insurrection, would have a much larger impact were it not for the fact that another poll recently showed that 70% of republicans think Biden stole the election, and that trump is the legitimate president. So this poll is
worthless as a handshake business deal with the orange baboon.

Has anyone been charged with insurrection?
Has anyone been charged with weapons possession?
You should have firearms if you are going to have an insurrection.
And yet, by definition it was an Insurrection.

Trump Russian Collusion, The Ukraine lie, A Resurrection.

How many times can one group of idiots fail?
trump and his henchmen should have been a little smarter, maybe they wouldn't have been caught.

As of now it's a protest that got out of hand.
No, it’s a **** of a lot more than that and, no doubt, historians will record it as such.
But "IF" they do what it takes to get to the TRUTH of what happened in the 2020 election, this will go from a "Protest" to a "Patriotic Fight against a Coup" !... (Assuming the 6 States Senate Hearings testomony is true).
You’re hanging onto a miserably failed narrative.
It pretty pathetic when Criminals try to write the Narrative, so their Crimes are not exposed

.... 78% of people who
watch CBS aren't buying it !
78% of Americans not calling the attack an insurrection doesn’t matter to the historic significance.

Republicans no longer want to discuss any issues with Jan6th. They only want to demand it wasn't an " insurrection"....
I intend to use the word insurrection anytime I post on a thread about 1/6. If they demand I stop I will laugh at them.

Time to refresh some memories or correct those who are spreading disinformation.
WASHINGTON, Aug 20 (Reuters) - The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.

Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.

This poll that has trumpers all exited because supposedly 76% of the public are not ready to call 1/6 an insurrection
It doesn't even show that, obviously. I almost didn't post, assumed this had been covered already in the thread, but the claims in the OP are quite simply lies; the poll shows that a majority of Americans view it as an insurrection. According to Fox News:
"For starters, "a protest that went too far" was the overwhelming favorite of the 2,046 Americans who were polled with 76% agreeing with that characterization of Jan. 6. The second most popular result was "trying to overturn the election and keep Donald Trump in power" with 63%. Both of those options were omitted in the graphic bolstered by CBS. Meanwhile, "an insurrection," which came at a distant third with 55% of Americans was kept in the graphic among the others which polled even less popular."

Obviously, those are non-exclusive options. Now granted, it seems like it was a pretty sketchy poll to begin with, but what @VySky etc. are doing is precisely analogous to taking a poll question "Who was Andrew Jackson?" with the non-exclusive options a) a human, b) a male, c) a man from history and d) an American President: Because 99% of respondents acknowledge that Jackson was a human and substantially fewer recognize him as a president, our rather special friends would be triumphantly declaring that "99% of Americans don't believe Andrew Jackson was President!"

The article cited is from Aug 20th. Are you intentionally using outdated sources in an attempt at lending credibility to your contention? Or, could you not see the date on the article?

Okay. I stand corrected. I don't know who the DP insurrection mob is, but good luck with them.

My point is simple. The Cline Center is a world premiere database research facility. Its Coup D`etat Project is the most comprehensive study of post-WWII coups in the world. If given the choice, I'm going to trust them before I give credence to Republican poll respondents who believe in the Big Lie. Pretty easy decision here.

Suuuper easy.

The information provided in the article and reported by the FBI has not changed. If they found something has changed, they would report it.
Time for the Democrats' echo chamber to understand that they are being lied to by politicos advancing a phony narrative.
