“to bolster President Obama’s reelection campaign”. Imagine that!

New special ops command in Mexico politically motivated, analysts claim

Should we be surprised by this obvious political ploy?

I do love Mexico and the Mexican people. Right now Mexico needs all they help they can get.

Could we possibly see a link for this?

So your source for this is an Extreme Right Wing Blog? Then you really have no source at all.

It must have worked since I've heard rumors that Obama has been re-elected.

Imagine that!

Anyone ever tell you that you're a bigoted jerk?

It's a difficult concept for some of those on the far Right to accept. So they resort to searching the blogs of other, equally committed extremists, in hopes of finding stuff like the OP.

You'd have to reach previously unattained heights of imagination and/or denial if you think that Obama was not re-elected.

As for wether any action by any politician is ever not politically motivated, that's hard to say. They all seem like power hungry selfish bastards to me. I'm sure there might be an exception sometime, somewhere but really its been a long time since any politician was in the game for sheer patriotism.

Pointing out holes in someone's source doesn't make you a bigot, you aren't entitled to your own view on reality and if you present something totally out of touch with reality you've got no one to blame but yourself.

Whilst I am automatically suspicious of all blogs, I do think that whatever the case is here, its probably taken shape because the government can't protect its own civil servants and people. Mexico is fast becoming a failed state, where the people have taken it upon themselves to defend themselves from the cartels and gangs because the local police are either too scared, too corrupt, too incompetent or are part of the gangs and cartels themselves.

Major changes are underway in Mexico as the new president works hard to carry out his campaign promises.

As I've frequently pointed out, Mexico's woes are entirely the fault of Americans who cannot stop stuffing crap up their noses or filling their lungs with THC. As we're the source of the problem, it makes sense that our military should do what it can to help the Mexican government clean up the mess.

My purpose for posting this was to show that, once again, this administration does nothing without a political reason for doing it.

The simple solution would be to legalise the cartel's biggest cash crop: marijuana. Once that is legalised and widely available, the price drops and the cartels will loose a massive amount of revenue that they simply cannot fill with other drugs at the moment, such as methamphetamines or cocaine.
