“Mr. Gandhi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?” (1 Viewer)

Gandhi replied, “Oh, I don’t reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It’s just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

Christians are those people who behave the least like Christ. Gandhi knew it.

Who now pound their bibles and demand that their politicians do exactly the opposite of what Christ would command.

Didn't he also say in the same speech, "Slaves, obey your masters, even the cruel ones!"?

He also explicitly states that he has not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfill them.

Which basically means follow all the cruel, horrible laws regarding blood sacrifice, rape, genocide, and slavery are still in effect.

A wise omnipotent deity who came down to sacrifice himself to himself so that he can create a loophole in the very laws he had placed, should have been a little more forethought thinking and said:

1) You know all the crap in the Old Testament... well, here's a funny story... even though it was inspired by me, it was written by fallible men and they got a whole lot wrong.

So people, slavery is bad! Don't do it.

Raping children and young girls is bad... don't do it.

Genocide is bad... don't do it.

As a matter of fact, ignore the whole Old Testament.

Sorry for the confusion... My bad!

Someone cynically said that the last Christian died on the cross.

Why would a Hindu follow christ? It was a dumb question to ask lol

Actually, he wanted to follow Christ. He went to a church one time and the white dude at the front door told him to get lost.
