‘We Are All Afraid’: Republican Senator Admits Colleagues Are Terrified of Being Punished for Criticizing Trump

Odd you still didn't answer.

You seem to be missing the point.

I don't answer questions when people ask them then follow with what they suspect the case is.

If you think you know, why ask?

And if you don't, then don't poison the question with a stupid follow up question that reveals you own biases.

Another very difficult for me to find sympathy for someone comment, I am not going to feel bad for Republicans for going along with MAGA Republicanism only to turn around and claim they are too afraid to say something in opposition to Trump then or now.

Most of them sat back and watched the first term play out, watched the insanity of what happened right after Trump lost his reelection bid, and now they sit back and watch this entire centralized power intimidation fascism model become very realized today.

"We are all afraid"... you **** ups enabled every bit of this, soup to nuts.

**** them. Those two could switch parties today and fight back. The Republican party has lost my vote permanently.

They don't need to change parties to fight back.

Look and Sinema and Manchin.

They should be GOP heros.

Not sure what to say...grow a spine? But is that correct? Because nobody should have to be afraid of standing up to the corruption and lawlessness of the Trump administration.

If they had any brains and integrity at all, they would all stand together and toss Trump to the curb. They have that power. If they cared more about America than their precious jobs, we wouldn't have this problem. How is Trump going to primary the entire senate while he's sitting in Florida crying in his beer. Grow up people. Throw him out.

Nah, you simply made a stupid statement and you can't answer.

Typical MAGA.

Good, because there can be no doubt that it is now a criminal enterprise, and a pro-dictatorship coup.

I can answer it fine.

And answer is as obvious as the day is long.

I just don't respond to people who ask leading questions, then take the approach you are.

And for you to say "Typical MAGA" again shows a lack of depth of thought.

What is Typical MAGA. It ain't me.

How they stifled Biden on some very key issues even though they were democrats.
Manchin was celebrating with Biden as he signed the IRA. Not sure what you mean other than regular posturing. Manchin always got in line. Sinema was just a moron.

Walks, quacks...

What a place America has come to when lawmakers are frightened to speak against or disagree with their President. That's what happens in China, Russia, Hungary and the like ...not the US, at least not until now. He is vindictive and ruthless in his suppression of any dissent whatsoever.

That is an amazing comment. I'll need to do some research. I thought he voted against several key things the democrats wanted.

The fillibuster being one.

Maybe I am confusing something.

Walks, quacks...

Keep trying.

You've been asked before to provide examples of walking and quacking and have produced nothing.

So, I suspect you suffer from the don't confuse me with the facts.....my mind is made up syndrome.

I'm can't recall if he actually voted against any Biden Bills but he most certainly threatened it and stopped bills from coming to the floor. He also used his voice to fashion more moderate bills. Having said that he and Biden were quite close yet he still felt he could challenge him without retribution. Same can't be said for this regime.

Another example of the Right calling the Left something they are. They want to be seen as masculine, all the while cowering in fear of an old, fat con man.
It is little wonder Trumplican men are so obsessed with masculinity.

You're correct about the filibuster. He's always protected that. He was with Biden on most things and against on some others. All in all, I thought Manchin was a decent senator, for a rich coal guy from W. VA.

Manchin not only voted against some things, I believe he also torpedoed some stuff before it ever got to the floor.

As I said, it's been a minute.

When was I asked?

Why should I answer any question you pose since you refuse to answer mine?

More and more evidence of MAGA.

Oh, that's funny.

Still can't produce.

Just like a good little lefty. You think it's true so it must be true.

Even though you can't prove it.

Yes, as I stated. He also was instrumental in modifying bills.

How is that comment much different than that which you are questioning?

Meh, I'm not here to prove anything. You said Murkowski was not a "true" Republican and then could not show any reason to back your claim. Now you're dancing around a whole different topic.

You can have the last word, we're done. I can only waste so much time on worthless discussion.

If Ted Cruz or Marsh Blackburn says this (what Murkowski stated), I would be very very interested.

Murkowski has been a tick on Trump's butt for a long long time.

She's got nothing to lose by stirring the pot. Just saying this only further creates problems for him (and he's doing it to himself).
