‘I don’t want the deans hearing that I said that,’ professor says
Men who won’t vote for a female president should be “line[d] up” and shot, according to a University of Kansas professor.
The lecturer, subsequently identified by the university as Phillip Lowcock, says “what frustrates” him is men who think females are not “smart enough to be president.”
“We can line up all those guys and shoot ‘em, they clearly don’t understand the way the world works,” Lowcock says. He teaches in the health sport and exercise department according to his university bio.

I'm OK with a women president. However I think the very first women to fill that roll should be someone of prominence and stature and not a presidential afterthought simply because Biden went down in a ball of flames.

I dunno...the whole violence against anyone voting their conscience seems to stand out...murdering anyone that votes other than Harris seems to a bit unwelcoming.
 

A gym teacher...and we're supposed to be freaking out over what some gym teachers says but "Coach Tuberville's" comments about doing away with elections altogether are okay, right?

NEVERTHELESS, you should be OUTRAGED by the comments that some professor made, and ON THAT BASIS definitely stop supporting Kamala Harris.

I've been out of OUTRAGE for months. I've used mine all up. I'm looking for more so I can be outraged again, but all the outrage is already in use. Now, when I should be outraged, I have to settle for discomfited. I can roll my eyes and an appear displeased, but that's about it. In particularly outrageous circumstances I can roll my eyes, shake my head, and look grumpy.

I agree with you. It should never be dismissed at all.

IMO one of the biggest problems we have in the USA is the "pollution" of our school systems with faculty at all levels (from daycares through graduate schools) who are ideologues first, seeking to indoctrinate rather than do the job to provide the forms of education that they were hired for.

When an educational facility (which should rightly monitor its staff) determines any faculty member is doing the above, they should impose discipline up to and including termination if the faculty member fails to comply.
 
Not sure it matters who the Tories pick. They spent 12 years running Britain into the ground and where whipped like dogs last election. Brexit was a disaster; the once vaunted NHS is a disaster; the economy is a disaster. Things are so bad Northern Ireland has plans to defect and join the Irish Republic and the EU. It may not happen but that's how bad things are.

So I wouldn't get optimistic about the Conservative and Union Party anytime soon.

You will never hear me defending or supporting Tuberville.
 
It's just an expression. Are we that sensitive these days? I suppose with all our shootings in this country, maybe that's an expression on it's way out.

Unfortunately, in the current political climate and given the national polarization, it takes just one dumb and impressionable idiot to turn it from an expression to a tragedy.
 
Hyperbole. But the underlying truth of men who won't vote for women because they are women are lacking an essential part of their mental development.
