Kristin Davis, the “Manhattan Madam” who allegedly set up the love connections between disgraced former Gov. Eliot Spitzer and call girls, is running for the top seat in Albany with the backing of Roger Stone, a GOP operative with a reputation for outlandish behavior and dirty tricks. The Daily News reported the piece of salacious politics yesterday. At the Libertarian party convention, Davis branded herself as someone who built a multimillion-dollar business from the ground up, the paper reported.

...and the plot thickens.

I couldn't care less about her setting up politicians with call girls. What I want to know is what qualifications does she have to be governor?

Well she did build up a business from the ground up which is a plus but I would have to agree that Stone is backing her to simply make us look nutty. With Rudy out, Lazio being a male version of Hillary and the Democrats beating each other up we have a decent shot at getting our guy in Albany.

She ran a business without having to get up.

More info on why she is running

I will also run to highlight the inequities of our criminal justice system which discriminates against women, minorities and poor people, a system which sent me to jail while Eliot Spitzer broke the law and walked away free. Eliot Spitzer is symptomatic of the problem we are dealing with in NY- dirty politicians who believe they are above the law – this precedent must be broken!

More importantly I would run as an advocate for real reform.

I have written extensively on my support for these three proposals on this website long before I thought about running for public office. I have a business background, ran a hedge fund for ten years and built a multi-million dollar business from scratch. Unlike any of the other candidates for governor I have created jobs and made a payroll. I am certainly more qualified than the losers and hacks we have in Albany now!

Well she was a Madame. She managed whores. How is that NOT a qualification for being governor? Hell that qualifies her for Congress.

She was a businesswoman. I'm not sure that qualifies her to be the governor, but what do I care? I'm not from New York.

Well someone with business experience IMO is alot better than a career politician being in charge of the state. Granted Im supporting Warren Redlich for Governor.

:2rofll:

Well, why not. She has as much a right to run as any. Personally, I think anti-prostitution laws are silly anyway. It's a victimless crime for the most part. (yes, some of the girls are basically sex slaves, but that's a different issue)
