I point out that I am a conservative, because clearly a lot of posters here think that conservatives condone this sort of behavior, or that they go around engaging in it themselves.

We're pretty sure that actual, real conservatives don't support trump.

Many of us wish the once-respected Republican Party could somehow eschew trump and MAGA and revert to the GOP of my younger days: a party of conservatives and centrists with whom I might often disagree, but whose integrity, patriotism, and decency I never doubted.

I certainly don't see Trump as a pure conservative, but I would say most conservatives voted for him.
If the Democrats wanted to get rid of Trump so badly, maybe they should have put a viable candidate up against him, and stood for policies an American with traditional values could support.

Yeah, but there are only, like, fourteen actual conservatives remaining in the country (or might as well be for all the influence they exert). Everyone else on the right is a subscriber to some flavor of end-times fascism.

Blaming Democrats for your decision to vote for the known incompetent, lying, putin-pandering trump doesn't work.

Blaming Democrats for MAGA members' decisions to vote for the person they knew accomplished nothing but a deficit-increasing tax break during the trifecta doesn't work. Blaming Democrats for voters' decisions to sit out the election or to vote for 3rd-party nominees also doesn't work.

We all knew how stupefyingly-lousy trump is as a Chief Executive (and as a person). We all knew he would use a 2nd term to enrich himself, to exact vengeance against everyone on a lengthy enemies' list, to abandon Ukraine to putin, to weaken NATO as much as he could, to pander to oligarchs and dictators....that you and tens of millions of other MAGAs, along with those who didn't bother to vote or cast meaningless votes for 3rd-party nominees, that all of you refused to do the right thing, which was to try to ensure that trump never, ever again be empowered with a Federal office by voting for HARRIS, is on you. Not on Democrats. Not on Harris. Not on Biden.

You are all adults. You knew a 2nd trump term would be a cluster**** of disasters. But you wanted those disasters, this chaos, this uncertainty, these attacks on the poor, the working-class, and the middle class. This is what you voted for. And you did so with your eyes wide open.

You did this, all by yourselves. You deliberately inflicted trump on the rest of us. And on the world.

I’ve voted for Republicans and Democrats in nearly equal numbers since my first vote for Reagan, and would gladly engage in conversation or debate with any conservative willing to stick to objective facts.

I’ve yet to find a supporter of the current POTUS willing to do likewise.
