No they did not. They removed a front page of a website.
They still have the ability to speak, make another website, fix their website, the rest of the website worked fine, still have the ability to march around and scream bigoted things.
Threats are an action, hate speech is speech.
Not really.
I think the Secret Service is about to do a better job of that. Advocating the assassination of a president is still a Federal felony, last I heard.
In the US, hate speech must be targeted at a population that borders on stereotypical cliché. If you're not perceived as "protected", go fist yourself.
There are hate crime convictions against straight white males.

Because no one committed theft.
I never said they dont have the right to hack i said people have the right to speak out against them.
Me just posting this is speaking out against them. What Anon did was draw attention to this group, and they also committed a criminal act. What they did was direct action.
Not only is hate speech allowed in the US, a white man can burn a cross on the lawn of a black family and not be convicted of a hate speech law (this actually happened). The supreme court ruled unanimously that the law banning it was unconstitutional.
I'm good with that. I would, however, support the cross-burner be charged with trespassing, vandalism, etc.
Really? Hell, you'd think that I would've heard about it on the news. The public loves "man bites dog" stories.
Hacking is not theft because its not stealing anything. Its entering the website and controlling it and you can alter the materials on the website.Hacking is a crime for the same reason stealing your literature would be: the website IS someone's property
I support this action of hacking yes.Which you used to defend the activity of "hacking"
I dont have any pamphlets.Right, like someone dumping your pamphlets in the trash. Calling it "direct action" doesn't make any less despicable
It limits their front page...And that still limits their ability to promote and spread their message/speech. Sorry, that doesn't simply change because it's speech you disagree with
Once again its like you burning the cover "of one of my pamphlets". You can still read the pamphlet just doesnt have a nice pretty picture on the frontRight, just like if I burnt your pamplets you would still be able to speak in public, reprint them, make a website, etc. But that doesn't change the fact that I still limited your ability to speak at one point by burning your pamplets.
:boohoo:LOL, sometimes I'm left wondering if you're seriously this daft, or just some RW idiot's Poe-account
Anytime there is no other motive and the accused is a member/has propaganda against the victim, there is a hate crime investigation. It's not about protected classes, hate crimes can be against anyone, it's about terrorism (organized and acted upon) being more harmful to society than regular crime.
An illegal violation is an illegal violation. This isn't like stealing bread to survive. You purport criminal activity, like every other bloodthirsty socialist ideologue.
I'm sure that there are a ton of other revolutionaries in Philosophy 101.

Direct actions essentially is when a group of people take a actions that is intended to reveal a problem, draw attention to an issue, or try to change an issue. It can be violent or non violent direct action. Hacking in this point and changing a homepage of a website would be considered non-violent direct action. Spray painting, which you also mentioned would be non violent direct action. An example of violent direct action would be flipping cars, knocking in windows of a clothing store, riots, etc. I believe full armed rebellion would be also considered a form of violent direct action. The person owns it he pays and maintains it but I don't think it's theft it's more like spray painting all over your car. it's against the law and wrong but you can fix it I think.
I don't understand the idea of Direct action to justify anything..... can you help me explain what you mean?

And you supported Reagan im sure so does that mean you support Saddam, Iran, and the Contras? After all Iran was considered a state supporter of terrorism when we gave them $$ and arms.
Teddy Roosevelt is your favorite president, so you support white supremacy.
Ain't that illegal?
Instantly jumping to the defense of White Supremacists.
Shocker!
P
Well, HERE, in THIS country, everyone is guaranteed equal protection under the law, unlike some backwards, Communist ****hole in Africa.
I'm jumping to the defense of the Constitution. Ya see, that's what freedom loving people, like us, do.
Hey man.
First of all south Africa isn't communist, you repeating that lie changes nothing.
Second of all I wasn't condoning the actions of the Hackers, to a certain extent it's a bit cowardly "ha ha I ****ed up your website na na na na na".
But what they did doesn't amount to suppression of free speech.
It amounts to Vandalism.
suppression of free speech is what would happen if the government went in and shut it down completely and forever.
You could have said something like
"Those guys are assholes, but their website shouldn't be vandalized cause they're entitled to their speech".
But you don't seem to have a problem with them at all... considering you use white supremacists for information regarding slavery this is hardly surprising.
