    Flat Tax or Income Tax.

    Taxes should be flatter because the rich have an ability to pay more, plus the rich usually gain wealth off surplus value - which is stealing from the workers. It is justified in the sense that the money was taken from the workers, taxed, and given back to the workers.

    These states did not operate a socialist mode of economics because the non-existance of worker-owned industry and a party elite. A vanguard party-state is meant to be composed of workers and represent workers, the Soviet Union did not do so and the party-state established state-capitalism.

    You have found my fault, I must admit that for non-profit would not be worthy in a transitory society that uses money. Luckily, the issue is not a matter in socialism because money would be abolished.

    I read Animal Farm, which was a critique of the Soviet Union by the socialist author Orwell. The Soviet Union was not socialist.

    A market can never provide freedom, only deception. A people-run media for non-profit has the only bias of informing the people, unlike say a hypothetical Fascist Organization for eXposé or Conservative News Network.

    Pravda was not an ideal socialist news network, an ideal one would be democraticly managed like all other industries in socialism and would be interested in different views on every matter, from the socialist, to the anarchist, environmentalism, conservative, and social democratic opinions.
