    Best Ways of Managing Stress?

I listen to 80s music and read in bed if it's during a work week. If I have a day off, I'll take a whole day for myself and spend it at a museum or two, purposefully taking my time to look at the exhibits. Either way, what's important is to give yourself time for yourself and relax.

Who is the Best Star Trek Captain?

Actually, that's one of my favorite episodes. That episode has a lot of callbacks to ST canon, and I don't mind the acting in it - I thought they were playing it up for camp.

Who is the Best Star Trek Captain?

My love of the show didn't come with the original airing if the episodes. Rather, it came a few years after the series was canceled when Syfy was showing episodes in 4-hour blocks. Being able to follow multiple episodes in one sitting like that really helped me to enjoy it. And I'm not a...

Who is the Best Star Trek Captain?

For me, "Voyager" was the worst. There's not much about that show I thought was worthwhile, and it irked me how they would drop plot points that were so important the day before, not to mention some of the characterizations the show portrayed.

Who is the Best Star Trek Captain?

Yup. The reason why is because Archer was there before the Federation was formed. He was much more of a pioneer because he had to act without any precedent. That makes him far more of an interesting character, in my opinion, than Picard or Kirk. Not saying that I dislike Picard or Kirk -...

Who is the Best Star Trek Captain?

Sisko is my favorite captain, followed by Archer. After that is Kirk in the movies, then Picard, then Kirk on the show, and then Janeway.

Why do the oppressed go to their oppressors for liberation from that very oppression?

Re: Why do the oppressed go to their oppressors for liberation from that very oppress Because most people would rather have a government in which they can peacefully deliberate and write laws in common than not have a government at all. But what that could easily lead to is that the rules are...

    Only property owners should vote

So instead of having the young and the poor voting for welfare for themselves you'll have property owners voting for welfare for themselves? No thanks.

Government pays millions in benefits to dead farmers

No. This is what happens when lobbyists get too powerful.

    Signs of declining economic security

And yet he was elected to a second term by the people as well. And all three branches of government are responsible for the well-being of the United States - not just one.

    Signs of declining economic security

It's kinda tough to put the blame of less economic security solely on the Obama administration when Congress won't even pass the kind of laws that President Obama would want in order to deal with it. So Congress is just as much to blame as President Obama is.

Local Government and the Events that It Entails

Corruption is, indeed, just as likely on local and state levels than on a national level. And what I always like to bring up is how it was the federal government who enforced desegregation and protected civil rights during the Civil Rights Era when state governments were violating the civil...
