    Religions tend to be Conservative, and since they were created in patriarchal societies they tend to remain patriarchal. True for both the Abrahamitic religions and others.

    If you really put an emphasis on that they are sometimes called the Sons of God, then I guess they are all dudes. Not that I think that makes much sense, as if why would God make all angels dudes.

    Both, they often have a ethnic dimension. A muslim Yoruba is not going to persecute a Christian Yoruba, but probably look down on the Igbos, though the Christian Yorubas does that too.
