Newt right or wrong on his immigration stance in the last debate

Really? When and in what state? In Texas, if they catch you driving without a valid driver's license, that's pretty much a guaranteed arrest.

Newt right or wrong on his immigration stance in the last debate

Like Dittohead noted, he most certainly would have been arrested anywhere else for driving without a license.

Newt right or wrong on his immigration stance in the last debate

Lesson learned: if you're a foreigner here on business, keep your papers on you.

Brad Pitt donates money to support gay marriage

That's incorrect. Read the first chapter of Romans. Jesus likely never mentioned this because He was speaking to Jews. Due to their culture, homosexuality was never something that really needed to be preached against. Roman culture was a bit more liberal regarding sexuality, so I can see where...

Foreign Fighters in Iraq Are Tied to Allies of U.S

So then you're contending that these Saudis are part of a Saudi military force?

Cheney found to have irregular heartbeat

Yeah, and I hope cancer doesn't take out Elizabeth Edwards either...wouldn't want John Edwards to have sympathy votes in 08! (See, it's easy being a partisan douchebag...)

Foreign Fighters in Iraq Are Tied to Allies of U.S

Maybe you can try and show me when these Saudi-funded terrorist groups declared war on the USA and whether or not the Saudis continued funding them after said declaration. As for Hamas, when were they placed on the terrorist list and what's your evidence that the Saudis funded them after they...

As Democrats See Iraq Gains, a Shift in Tone

I don't see how. Nobody's claiming that al-Qaeda will have popular support. However, the Iraqis still need our help to take on al-Qaeda and until they no longer need our support to defeat them, the likelihood of al-Qaeda taking power in sections of Iraq is a very real one.

As Democrats See Iraq Gains, a Shift in Tone

The Ruhr Valley was not appeasement. It was inaction. The almighty League of Nations condemned it and moved on. Austria was appeasement because the Austrian government abdicated to Hitler. Czechoslovakia was appeasement because the major European powers met with Hitler, tried to dissuade him...

As Democrats See Iraq Gains, a Shift in Tone

That's a point to consider for the future...but in the present, that conflict already exists and this whole new wing of al-Qaeda isn't just going to pack up and disband if we leave now. If we withdraw from Iraq in the vain hope that the jihadis will hate us less or that al-Qaeda in Iraq will go...

Foreign Fighters in Iraq Are Tied to Allies of U.S

Osama bin Laden is a Saudi who has declared war on the Saudi government. What's your point? Is it your contention that the government of Saudi Arabia is responsible for these individuals coming to Iraq?

Rudd to be Australia's next PM

The photo's reference to some sort of "Bush jinx" is completely misleading. As myself and others have noted, the Australian election had little to do with Bush or anything else pertaining to America.

As Democrats See Iraq Gains, a Shift in Tone

No, that would simply be inaction. Appeasement is changing a policy, one that you believe is morally correct, because you believe it will make your enemies less angry with you. The most infamous example of appeasement, the Munich Pact of 1938, occurred before Nazi Germany had attacked anyone...

Rudd to be Australia's next PM

That hasn't stopped a number of high-ranking Labour MPs from coming out and outright opposing the war. Staking the stance that this "project" was originally a mistake, but one that can't be rightly abandoned would likely endear him to many former Labour voters and certainly would raise his...

As Democrats See Iraq Gains, a Shift in Tone

With respect, this line of thinking sounds like the justification for an appeasement policy. "Anything to prevent more jihadists!" Of course, it's necessary to try to win hearts and minds and the long-term goal is to decrease anti-American terrorism, but the more pressing goal is to defeat...
