It was originally assessed by the US that Shireen Abu Akleh was assassinated by the IDF, knowing she was a journalist. The Biden Admin overruled that assessment and the solider was protected from accountability until he died.

The silence to this post of your is very telling. The Duvdevan Unit reminds me of the old Samson Unit which was disbanded for its many lethal abuses after the Oslo Agreement. The allegations that the US Government and Administration knew that this was a targeted killing but suppressed that evidence from their own findings and thus lied to Americans is telling too. Now that an already dead suspect has been named will the State of Israel finally take responsibility for assassinating a journalist? I doubt it.

Unfortunately, this is a molehill compared to what the US has covered for even under a Democratic administration. That's one of the reasons posts like this doesn't get traction. The sheer scale of the atrocities and US complicity has buried our collective morality. This is one journalist. There's been 166 journalists killed since then. This incident was especially egregious because it was a clear targeted assassination of an American. But if snipering children in the head doesn't move the dial, this certainly won't.
