well now it's go directly to a peace meeting. no cease fire according to Trump on Truth. Seems to me that is asking a LOT from 1 meeting.
However talks are talks so you can call it what you like, this whole process is moving parts.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday outlined firm conditions for a “real peace" ahead of a high-stakes meeting with President Donald Trump on Monday.

Killings must stop as soon as possible, the fire must cease both on the battlefield and in the sky, as well as against our port infrastructure. All Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians must be released and the children abducted by Russia must be returned."

Zelenskyy wrote that thousands of Ukrainians remain in captivity and must all be released, while adding that pressure on Russia must be maintained while the "aggression and occupation continue."

"Based on the political and diplomatic situation around Ukraine, and knowing Russia’s treachery, we anticipate that in the coming days the Russian army may try to increase pressure and strikes against Ukrainian positions in order to create more favorable political circumstances for talks with global actors," he wrote.

Trump had been calling for a ceasefire ahead of his meeting with Putin.

"It was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a Peace Agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere Ceasefire Agreement, which often times do not hold up," Trump wrote.
 
so Ukr is not stepping up attacks? why not?
 
All of those requirements in the OP can be hashed out via ZOOM. This is going to be another crap show like the first time. Trump licking his chapped ass will lash out at Zelenskyy, imo.

So Putin is not attacking military targets west of the Dnieper? sure he is. But Ukr. will not allow coverage of any targeting except civilian

In Ukraine, military resources are limited.

R's withhold what Ukraine needs to fight because they know the next war in Europe will be fought with D kids.

Defending, not attacking.

If you invade a country, you have your troops go in and kill people. If you defend a country, you are trying to repel the attackers.

Trump is the king of ceasefire agreements that don't hold up I will give him that. On the other hand if Russia won't even agree to a 30 day ceasefire why would anyone think they really want a peace settlement? All previous peace settlements were made during ceasefires AFAIK. Surrenders are a different story so maybe that is what Trump thinks Ukraine will do?

Right now, there is no process other than what's taking place on the battlefields in Ukraine.

I suspect Trump will blow smoke up Zelensky's and Europe's asses, telling them that he'll be relaying their terms to Putin. If Trump has a strategy it's probably let the inevitable destruction of Ukraine's military and Russian advances play out to the point where Europe and Ukraine have no choice but to accept the obvious reality. All of Ukraine's and Europe's demands assume that Ukraine can hold on and eventually push Russia back.
 

Indeed. Trump sees the war is in the way of business opportunities in Russia.

Hmm, that’s fascinating, because the “defenders” absolutely kill people in just about every war in human history.

Fascinating how you’ve suddenly decided they only “repel” the attackers now, like the conflict is some Saturday morning cartoon.
 
The Ukrainians are not trying to push Russia back. They are using their defensive advantage to win a war of attrition that will eventually collapse the Russian military. They are also targeting Russian factories and refineries and rail lines to interfere with Russian logistics on the front. This tactic is working very well for Ukraine and Russia gets weaker and broker every day. New and stricter sanctions on Russian oil exports wuld help greatly too but Trump is too weak to implement them and is prolonging this war. But from your posts it seems you want it to go on as long as it takes for Russia to prevail. That means many more years of war. Ukraine is nowhere near losing to Russia and after 3 years still control more territory than they did in 2022.
