Due to the many ways to utilize the Ukrainian short I or Yot, the name of Ukraine's new president can be [correctly] presented as Zelenskiy, Zelensky, or Zelenskyy.
I have been using Zelensky, but the president says he prefers the Zelenskyy iteration and it is spelled this way on his passport.
No choice is technically wrong, but I will honor his personal preference of Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Another elective is the unusual spelling of Yulia (Julia) by his official spokesperson who prefers Iuliia Mendel. I'll go with that also.
