Zelensky coming to DC on Monday?

Not sure how this will go.

Will Trump take his anger out on Putin and help Ukraine, or will he try to force Zelensky to make all of the concessions because he failed so miserably in Alaska?

Yes, you are correct in that this is all because of Trump, I was wrong.

Trump being weak when other US presidents are strong led to the rest of the world waking up and taking more responsibility.

It is sad that it took a weak president to make it happen but here we are.

Very good point. We want to punish India for buying Russian oil, but currently don't want to actually punish Russia.

The US, UK, and Russia signed an agreement years ago. Ukraine would give up all of their nuclear weapons and there would be security guarantees for them.

Russia has broken that agreement and no one has tried to enforce the agreement.

Really, any peace agreement without much stronger security guarantees by Europe and possibly the US are a waste of time.

Should they trust the US more?

The US was a direct signatory to the Budapest Memorandum. We failed, miserably.
