Door County WI - north of Green Bay - might be the Purple-ist county in the country. Besides that, it's a great place to visit. Now after watching this video, I think I may like it even better.

I'm impressed by the civility I saw, and the cross-dialogue and cross-acceptance. I'm not particularly a fan of the term, "Midwestern Nice". I've always preferred the more traditional term, "Midwestern Sensibilities". But whatever you chose to call it, I like it! It felt like going back in time.

Well worth the 13 minute view!

[The segment proper starts at 0:55. At the least, consider checking-out the goats grazing on the restaurant's grass roof at the 10:02 mark!]

"Clallam County in Washington is the only county in the entire nation where voters have chosen the same candidate as the electoral college for 40 years — in every presidential race since 1980." link

Which is weird because it should be a very 'red' county full of disgruntled loggers but it also has a ton of retirees.

There's a great line from a man they talked to who's not voting for Trump. He said, did you see Trump's lips move? He's lying

Thanks for this. It's really current, too! Pulling-off picking the electoral wins is very difficult, as it's not a national vote win!

The interesting thing about Door County, and Eastern WI, is not that it's the "Midwest" or even "Upper Midwest". Rather, it's "Great Lakes"! The Great Lakes have their own unique vibe I really like. It's hard to define, because it can't be simply defined by the usual Liberal-Conservative or Rural-Urban models. The region also varies by the sub-regions.

Did you get that from the segment? I must have missed it.

@Chomsky

It's in the segment I watched last Sunday on 60 Minutes. Didn't watch the one you posted thought it was the same one.

Harris got the most votes within Door County, WI. Link

Well, Clallam county's record is broken. They voted Harris 52% / DonOld 44% link
