Americans without the guns
I have to make exception for Quebecois truck drivers. I've yet to meet one I didn't want to punch in the mouth.
I basically think of them as less violent Americans with funny comedians but for the most part ****ty music.

Canadians are dichotomy on display On the one hand they are very liberal with high taxes and free healthcare but unlike American liberals they are pro resource extraction industries and go after their resources like we did here in the 50s. They mine, log and drill like there is no tomorrow and club baby seals to death with zeal. Their military is a complete joke and they live under Americas umbrella while at the same time trashing us for being to militaristic. They are kind of like the youngest kid in a family who is a bit spoiled and expects things to be handed to him on a silver platter. Oh and they drink crappy beer too.
We always enjoy Canada. Great people. Your favorite places are also our favorite places. Banff is my wife's favorite. Lake Louise is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I have some great pictures of Canada from Vancouver to Quebec City.
A few months ago we were in Montreal and Quebec City. We didn't want to leave. French Canadians are very friendly. They love to to laugh.

That's a bit unfair and inaccurate in my experience.
Canada's military is small compared to ours (hell almost everyone's is), but of very high quality. I know some Canadian vets and I assure you they are consummate professionals in the trade of war.
As for clubbing baby seals, well we don't have a lot of room to talk with all our factory farms and mass slaughter facilities do we?
Frankly I do NOT see Canadians as being spoiled. Not at all. Yes they do depend on the US military umbrella to some degree... but so does half the world, right?

Almost every Canadian I've ever met was just awesomely nice. Most were intelligent, industrious and capable.

I notice you didn't address the crappy beer part though.
Canada has Skinny Puppy which imho is one of the greatest bands to have ever existed.
... I can't believe this thread has gone on for 4 pages and nobody has mentioned poutine. Quebec, for all of its political flaws is an amazingly beautiful place.... If you guys ever visit Newfoundland, I encourage you all to try screech rum. I spent some time in the Canadian Maritimes, and they are the stereotypical Canadian person on TV. They're so nice it almost hurts. With that said:

Hell if their guns laws were a bit more reasonable I might move to Canada. Bit cold for a Southern boy but...
