Well simply being rich isn't a sin or a crime, and just cause someone is rich doesn't mean they are Mr. Burns or anything.

According to a national election poll by Edison Research and presented by the Wall Street Journal, Americans making $200,000 per year were more likely to vote Republican in the recent election by a margin of 62% to 36%, while people earning less than $30,000 per year were more likely to vote Democratic by a margin of 58% to 40%. They break even roughly at the median income point. There you have it: Specific data backing up the ongoing perception that the GOP is the Party of, by, and for the rich - as if anyone didn't already know.

Know why that is?
"Those who rob from Peter to pay Paul will always have Paul's support."

So you're saying everyone who has ever recieved money off the government votes Democrat?
People earning less than $30,000 per year were more likely to vote Democratic by a margin of 58% to 40%.
why are all those ultra rich, ultra lib hollywood turds never included in any of these bash the rich threads? almost all of them vote for democrats and they are among the richest people in the country.

Of course not - roughly 36% of rich people appear to be at least moderately un-Burnsy.
Really, this isn't shocking...
The "rich" has the best shot at getting "something" from the government with Republicans in power, IE tax breaks
The "poor" have the best shot at getting "something" from the government with Democrats in power, IE entitlements
The Middle Class breaks both ways and are generally have a shot at getting a benefit from either party.
Surprise, a majority of people now and always will tend to act in their own best interest.
I do love how apparently "under 30k" is the "working class" and $200k is the "rich"....so the middle class is $31k to $199k, but we'll just ignore that grouping.
rich people often vote dem too
especially the uber rich ones who see welfare socialism as a way of solidfying their position at the very top
the way things work is that most people aren't going to be rich but the country is better off when most of the citizenry believes they can be or want to be and work hard to achieve that.
those sort of people vote GOP
when a majority of the country buys into the dem belief that the game is rigged and they cannot achieve prosperity and therefore should quit trying and striving to make it but rather they should lay back and suckle on the public teat of dependency-then the dems win.
Then why would they overwhelmingly vote Republican this time?
Which might make sense if "welfare socialism" had anything to do with the Democratic Party, but its policies mainly concern progressive taxation to fund infrastructure investment.
Absolutely. And a crucial piece of that belief is having a good educational and health care system, because otherwise people either won't have the tools to suceed or will end up trapped in a spiraling quagmire of debt due to perfectly normal health expenses. We have neither at the moment - a state of affairs that only benefits the people responsible for it, Republicans.
People vote GOP for different reasons, but the most relevant to this thread is that the GOP buys votes with a perpetual series of tax cuts.
Except nothing you just said has anything to do with the Democratic Party in this universe. You're arguing with a fiction of your own invention to avoid addressing the central fact: Rich people vote Republican because Republicans buy their votes.
actually being rich is generally an indication that one has built a small business from the ground up, improved your local area, created jobs, raised standards of living, and provided higher quality goods or services to consumers for a lower price.
Not really. Being VERY rich is very often the result of inheritance. The result of one's 'station' in life. The Steve Job's and Bill Gates' of the world are a phenom.
you are just talking out your six. Its dems who buy peoples' votes with my and other peoples' money
The GOP Gives me NOTHING -they saving grace is wanting to take LESS.
Dems buy the votes of people like you by telling you others will pay for your health care, your education, etc.
one party supports those who create wealth, the dems support those who want to redistribute that wealth
you claiming that my vote is bought with my own money
depends on where you want to cut the 'very' rich line.
millionaires, for example, are overwhelmingly first-generation. i have never seen figures for billionaires, but i would suspect the majority of their wealth is their own creation. do you have any kind of evidence to back up your claim?
